COMMUNITY INTEGRATION

APBingoArchipelago randomizer mod

Add a bingo board to an existing multiworld. Its squares are items placed in other games; when players find them, the board fills automatically. Completing rows, columns, diagonals and optional patterns sends rewards back to the room.

How the game changes

  • The default is a 5-by-5 board with one completed bingo required to goal. Board size ranges from 4 to 26, and the requested goal is capped to the number of distinct patterns available for that board.
  • Every square, such as A1 or E5, is a progression item. These items are forced outside their own slot, and APBingo checks cannot hold another APBingo item. The board is a companion to other games, not a standalone solo randomizer.
  • Rows, columns and both diagonals form basic bingos. Blackout, Corners, Pictureframe, Checkerboard and Reverse Checkerboard are additional patterns, all enabled by default. Completing a pattern can send several checks rather than just one reward.
  • The generated world has one item and one check per board cell. A default board therefore contributes 25 of each, while a 26-by-26 board contributes 676. Board size changes the room's item footprint independently of the goal count.
  • Fog of War initially reveals information for one square, then exposes adjacent squares as items arrive. It hides information, not logical access. Auto Hints is a separate option; both are off by default.
  • Bingo Forced Balancing can distribute a selected percentage of square items across other games in round-robin order. Its default is zero. It is a placement-distribution option, not a promise that every player finishes at the same time.
  • The browser highlights received squares, lists their source locations and can highlight entries associated with a player. It rebuilds the board from received items and sends eligible checks automatically. No manual bingo marking, trap pool or DeathLink setting is part of the reviewed world.

Before you start

  • Install APBingo.apworld 1.1.1 on the generator with Archipelago 0.6.6 or later. Include at least one other game with enough eligible locations, generate the room, and connect the author's HTTPS browser client with the exact APBingo slot name.
  • The bundled guide still describes an APBingo Client launcher entry. Release 1.1.1 removed leftover non-functional client code; use the separate APBingoWeb site introduced in release 1.0.0. No separate desktop bingo game is needed.
  • The web client is maintained separately from the APWorld. The observed hosted bundle includes a bingo-check expansion adjustment absent from the repository's main source at review time. Use the hosted client rather than assuming an arbitrary source build is equivalent.
  • The world and client disagree about which checkerboard parity counts toward the goal when only one of the two checkerboard patterns is enabled. Keep both enabled, as in the defaults, or disable both rather than relying on a single checkerboard goal.
  • Older generated worlds may still contain Bingo ALL, which the current website no longer sends. The author documents manual completion for those old rooms. Start a new room with the current world to use Blackout and the additional-pattern system.
  • The login stores the password in browser local storage and can reconnect automatically. Use your own browser profile and do not share browser-storage exports. Password-bearing incoming URLs are also accepted; check a copied link before sharing it.
  • Received squares are rebuilt from server item history rather than a separate locally saved board. Keep the room available for asynchronous play. This review does not prove automatic recovery from every disconnect; refresh and reconnect to the same room if updates stop.
  • Large boards add many progression items to the other games. Multiple bingo slots or restrictive item rules can make filling the room difficult. Start with a small board and the default additional patterns before increasing that footprint.
  • Panludia reviewed the published world and selected hosted-client behavior, not a completed live bingo room. Fog-of-war auto-hinting and every combination of multiple bingo slots remain unverified; this listing is not a security certification.
