Bat to the HeavensArchipelago randomizer mod

How the game changes

  • Collect bats, equipment, Fizzy Ice Creams and Phants as multiworld checks. Receiving bats and traversal mechanisms changes how you climb; reaching named areas also sends checks.
  • CheckpointSanity is enabled by default and adds 82 checkpoint checks. Disable it for a smaller pool while keeping collectible and area checks.
  • Choose the normal finish, a finish requiring a selected 0–20 Fizzy Ice Cream count, or the option labelled All checkpoints. In the released APWorld, that last completion predicate checks the base item set plus Roller Blades and Float Block; it does not require all 82 checkpoint checks. The ending dialogue reports progress toward the selected goal.
  • Release 0.1.03 corrects the password field sent during login and the displayed fizzy total. After a successful connection, the menu remembers server, port and slot while excluding the password.
  • DeathLink is optional. The release adds a configurable death threshold, but the inspected World and client do not exchange that setting under the same key, so the configured threshold is not reliable in this build.

Before you start

  • Use the APWorld and intact Wonton-BTTHArchipelago ZIP from the same 0.1.03 release. The supplied YAML requires Archipelago 0.6.8; the mod manifest lists game 1.2.3 and Godot Mod Loader 6.2.0, while its internal mod version still reads 0.1.0.
  • Place the loader addons folder in the Steam game directory, create a mods folder and place the mod ZIP there without extracting it. Add --script addons/mod_loader/mod_loader_setup.gd to Steam launch options, allow the initial loader restart, then use the Archipelago menu and start a new game.
  • Leave Fix Starting Bat Position disabled in this release. Its generation path locks the starting item but refills against the original location count, which can leave one extra item in the pool.
  • The intended twenty-fizzy access rule is keyed to the item name Fizzy Bat, while the actual check is Collect Item - Fizzy Bat. The identifiers do not match, so that check does not receive the intended rule in this release.
  • Do not rely on the new DeathLink threshold to delay outgoing deaths: the client retains its default threshold because of the setting-name mismatch. Leave DeathLink off if that difference would disrupt your room.
  • If disconnected, stop collecting checks and return to the main menu as the client instructs. There is no durable offline-check queue, and repeated item-history packets can change collectible counters. Keep backups; save-to-seed/slot binding is not enforced.
  • The password is masked and not saved with the remembered connection, but the network client tries plaintext WebSocket before a secure connection. Use a trusted room/network when entering a password. Corrupt remembered connection data can also disrupt the login menu.
  • No automated tests or live game run were performed. The inspected sources and shipped scripts correspond, but complete licence/asset permission documentation and reproduced generated import files were not established.
