How the game changes
- Technology and civic research become checks; received discoveries unlock the corresponding units, buildings and policies.
- Boostsanity adds Eureka and Inspiration objectives. Optional progressive district items deliver related discoveries in order.
- Toggle received technologies to preserve access to older units when needed for a boost.
- DeathLink can remove a unit, currency or era score instead of ending the entire game. Item-name visibility is configurable.
Before you start
- Windows only, with both Rise & Fall and Gathering Storm enabled. Start a single-player Gathering Storm game in the Ancient Era.
- Install the base mod plus the files from your generated .apcivvi package, then connect through the Civ6 client, not the generic Text Client.
- Enable the game's Tuner, which disables achievements. Native Civilization multiplayer is not supported by this integration.
- Avoid mods that alter technology or civic trees. With Boostsanity and era limits, the guide warns that an era defeat can require reloading an earlier save.
- The /resync command can recover missed exchanges but may repeat one-time bonuses. Linux/Proton check delivery is explicitly unsupported and has an open failure report.
