How the game changes
- Stage clears and Battlesphere challenges send checks. Optional categories add 82 chests, 72 enemy types, 44 boss types and purchases from both shops; these categories default on in the reviewed world.
- Stage access can use eight individual chapters, eight Progressive Chapters, or separate stage unlocks. The released 1.0.0 world defaults to separate stages, despite the wiki still describing progressive chapters as the default.
- Star Cards, Time Capsules, eighteen Battlesphere Keys, Brave Stones and Potions enter the multiworld. Optional extra equipment and potion slots increase the character's capacity.
- The goal is to unlock and clear the true final boss at Weapon's Core, requiring 32 Star Cards and 13 Time Capsules. Chapter-based configurations also require the appropriate Bakunawa access.
- Milla's shop defaults to thirty checks costing one Gold Gem each; the Vinyl shop defaults to sixty costing one hundred Crystal Shards. Counts, prices and currency conversion costs are configurable.
- Chest Tracers point toward unopened chests. They can be always available or become global or per-stage items; strict locking can prevent opening a chest before receiving its tracer.
- Optional traps include character swaps, temporary mirrored or altered displays and combat hazards. Additional filler-to-trap replacement defaults to zero, and negative Brave Stones need their own option to activate on receipt.
- DeathLink offers checkpoint death or a revivable knockout. RingLink exchanges crystal currency, TrapLink shares supported traps, and DamageLink shares damage. These are independent options, disabled by default.
- Fast Weapon's Core skips its stage portion and takes the player directly to the final fight. Selected character and equipment mods have dedicated compatibility options, not universal mod support.
Before you start
- Use the 1.0.0 prerelease mod and its matching APWorld, requiring Archipelago 0.6.5 or later. The author explicitly recommends it over the older 0.1.2 release, whose shop behavior was broken by changes in FP2Lib.
- The packaged guide requires the Windows Steam game, BepInEx 5 x86 and FP2Lib. Extract Archipelago.7z into the game root, merging its BepInEx and mod_overrides folders. FreedomManager can optionally install the loader dependencies.
- The APWorld contains the complete player installation guide. The short Installing wiki page instead discusses files from a source build and should not be mistaken for the whole release setup.
- Item Box Sanity is experimental, disabled by default, and explicitly described by the author as lacking sufficient logic. Leave it off for a conservative run; the normal chest category is separate.
- Wiki defaults are not all current: released stage unlocks default to Open and Chest Tracer Items to Disabled. An old wiki warning questions generation with disabled tracer items; use per-stage tracers if avoiding that unresolved documentation discrepancy.
- The connection menu displays the room password as plain text and saves it in the local configuration. Do not share screenshots of that field or publish K24_FP2_Archipelago.cfg.
- Custom characters can be selected but are not guaranteed to complete every stage. Prefer an original character and leave experimental Remote Players disabled; that feature has limited testing and can affect performance.
- RingLink shop purchases also deduct currency from linked players, and received ring loss damages this player. Coordinate linked effects before enabling them across a room.
- Windows is the documented integration route. The prerelease and its option-specific caveats are not a guarantee of every configuration, future game update or an independently completed Panludia playthrough.
