How the game changes
- Campaigns: Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift and They Hunger, selected independently. The downloaded data contains 18, 12, 7 and 3 missions respectively; some guide counts and warp examples are older, so use the in-game mission list.
- Checks: map/chapter milestones, first weapons per campaign, optional chargers and Xen healing pools. Before option filtering, the data has 189 Half-Life, 91 Opposing Force, 66 Blue Shift and 37 They Hunger entries; Suspension adds separate section/clear/medal families.
- Items: mission/weapon unlocks, optional campaign armor, Long Jump, flashlight/night vision, melee throw, supplies and bounded ordinary traps. Half-Life weapons remain available across included campaigns; They Hunger weapons retain campaign-specific scope.
- Goals: finish each selected campaign finale after its separate mission seal. Suspension additionally requires clears with the chosen classes at the capped tier, with optional tier medal; all eight classes are the default and Juggernaut depends on the other seven clears.
- Logic and starters: mission/map weapon gates, alternate first-weapon sources, Blue Shift finale companions and optional equipment placements. One startable campaign mission opens the seed; older seeds' tracker starters remain honored.
- Suspension: difficulty/class unlocks, classless or per-class section checks, class clears and rolling medals. Tank progression models explosive-capable classes; goal-class selection can shorten the arcade scope.
- Guidance and co-op: campaign hub panels, warp/tracker/menu/find commands, shared item notices and locally discovered bot models. Optional DeathLink includes outgoing amnesty and on/non_arcade/off policy for lobby deaths.
Before you start
- The evaluated download is v0.4, published October 1, 2026, with World 0.4.0 and Archipelago 0.6.7+. Its 35 code/data/doc files match source dba19104bb278; the release tag points to a different revision. The badges cover the hashed downloaded package and the matching source, not an assumed tag build.
- Designed for co-op lobbies: the host installs the plugin with Half-Life (Sven Co-op) Client /install, runs the AP client and opens a listen server on -sp_campaign_portal. Joining players use that host's integration. Selected campaign maps must exist on the host; the package does not distribute them.
- For Suspension, the current goal is the selected classes cleared at the capped tier, all eight by default. The optional medal check is tier-wide and separate from class clears; its description suggests a medal on every class run, which the completion predicate does not verify.
- Stay connected when completing missions and finales. Unlocks rebuild on reconnect, but pending checks/victory are not an acknowledged durable outbox. Restart the AP client when changing slots: its completed-mission set is not cleared by the slot-change handler.
- The first item-history batch restores unlocks without replaying one-shot filler/traps, including those received offline. Priority events, sequence tracking and restart recovery do not establish once-only delivery for all such effects. DeathLink is optional; lobby policy on/non_arcade/off governs local deaths, and incoming DeathLink affects the shared lobby.
- The matching source grants redistribution permission and the package contains scripts/data rather than game assets or binaries. Eleven supplied test files contain 317 test functions; these include World-specific prerequisite tests and generation profiles, bridge/data/install contracts and goal parsing. Suspension goal-class/medal combinations are not exhaustively covered. No target tests, build or game were executed.
