How the game changes
- The default Vanilla unlock mode has 36 checks across six groups of six levels. Individual mode substitutes 36 named-level checks; the two tables are alternatives, not 72 checks in one seed.
- Vanilla mode uses 36 received Gems to unlock successive groups. Individual mode uses named level unlocks and starts with one randomly selected unlock.
- Puzzle Options selects the original puzzles, generated puzzles, or puzzles that are regenerated when you leave and re-enter a level. Perfect Clears, Shields and Hard Generation are separate options.
Before you start
- Install the matching 1.2 World and BepInEx client. The guide does not cover the entire YAML, generation and first-connection sequence.
- The World table contains 72 addresses across the two mutually exclusive unlock modes. Its slot data reports 72 in either mode even though a seed activates 36; review the selected mode rather than treating 72 as a per-seed count.
- Individual mode precollects one randomly selected level unlock while the item-pool code still creates one copy of each of the 36 unlocks. No seed was generated to observe how that overlap behaves in play.
- The tagged repository archive has no Hexcells World source path. The seven readable Python files in the APWorld were reviewed directly; source-to-tag correspondence, goal reporting and reconnect behavior were not runtime-tested.
- The client package bundles legacy Unity UI components whose exact package provenance and redistribution basis remain unresolved in the separate release review.
