How the game changes
- Mission completion and target eliminations provide checks. Add Silent Assassin, Suit Only, combined Silent Assassin Suit Only or Sniper Assassin ratings separately for selected maps.
- Optional Itemsanity checks droppable inventory objects, either once per item type or separately in each map. Disguisesanity checks each map's outfits; per-level caps and tedious-check filters control the workload.
- Mission access, planning-screen weapons and gear, suits, extra starting locations and agency pickups enter the item pool. The initial start remains available.
- Choose one mission and rating, collect Contract Pieces, collect pieces to unlock a final mission, or complete a required number of rated missions. Contract Pieces are goal counters, not usable equipment.
- Optional Item Packages let you bring all received concealable equipment of a category. Extra copies can provide more consumables or ammunition instead of new progression tiers.
- Random targets and weighted complications can change contracts, separately from Casual, Professional or Master difficulty. Carpathian Mountains retains its original contract.
- Select the installed game edition, enabled maps and owned DLC items. The world also supports the earlier HITMAN 2016 and HITMAN 2 clients described in its guide.
Before you start
- Install the paired APWorld and Peacock plugin 0.8.2 with Archipelago 0.6.7 or later. This is not a mod you drop directly into HITMAN's game folder.
- Use a separate Peacock installation for AP to avoid altering ordinary Peacock progression. Keep Peacock's server, patcher and the HITMAN AP client running; select missions under Campaigns > Archipelago.
- The HITMAN 3 demo and Microsoft Store/Game Pass editions are unsupported. Select only maps and packs your edition provides. Part One does not include Freelancer equipment, which must be disabled in its settings.
- DeathLink and traps are not implemented. This approach changes contract setup and menus, not arbitrary live gameplay; Freelancer equipment being available does not mean a randomized Freelancer campaign is supported.
- A newly received mission may not appear immediately in the campaign menu. Enter and leave a level, or reconnect the game to Peacock using Go Offline then Go Online.
- Itemsanity excludes keys and collectible intel. Per-map item checks and strict rating requirements can add substantial replaying; they are not automatically a short run.
- Windows is the integration's documented setup. Peacock separately describes Linux/Proton arrangements, but that alone does not verify this complete AP plugin/client combination on Linux or native macOS.
