How the game changes
- Checks: 82 island and cave locations plus 61 checks across the eight main dungeons are active by default. The remaining candidates cover 15 Portal World checks, 37 secret-dungeon checks, 55 Dreamworld checks, four super secrets and 24 secret-sign checks.
- Items: The source defines 127 network item identities, including weapons, equipment, dungeon keys, key rings, cards, outfits, raft pieces and regional connections. Fourteen connection items are precollected unless region blockades are enabled; the default trap rate replaces 20% of filler slots with seed-selected standard traps.
- Goals: Raft Quest is the default and needs eight Raft Pieces. Queen of Adventure adds the Tomb of Simulacrum and its loot; Queen of Dreams forces Dreamworld checks on; Potion Hunt sets a configurable potion target.
- Options: 35 game options cover dungeon and secret inclusion, key and shard rules, weapon progression, optional phasing logic, item-pool adjustments, traps, piano randomization and DeathLink. Three named presets are defined.
Before you start
- Install BepInEx 5.x for Unity Mono and ModCore, then use the client package and APWorld from the same release. The README specifies BepInEx 5.4.22 for Linux and says its custom connection menus do not support controller navigation. Start a new game and connect before confirming the save.
- The maintainer notes possible bugs, softlocks and items not being granted correctly; the optional PopTracker pack is not fully accurate when phasing logic is used. Client source saves and returns to the main menu after a disconnect, but that behavior was not runtime-tested.
- The 0.3.0 tag's client package manifest identifies itself as 0.0.1. The APWorld source was reviewed from the published asset itself; its exact source commit was not established. No client/APWorld build pairing, generated seed or game session was tested.
