Kerbal Space ProgramArchipelago randomizer mod

How the game changes
- Individual rocket parts become multiworld items, while mission milestones, KSC science, native contracts and technology purchases send checks. This integration uses Career Mode, with progressive buildings controlling additional capabilities.
- Client 0.9.3 added explicit uncrewed flyby and orbital-probe detection. A qualifying vessel must have no crew and a working control level; a probe separated from a crewed ship is evaluated as its own vessel.
- Client 0.9.4 fixes technology-tree initialization for installations without DLC by skipping absent or uninitialized part-module lists. Making History remains enabled by default in generated configurations and must be removed from Enabled Part Packs if unowned.
- Discover items reveal celestial bodies and their checks. The default permits discovery by flying there out of logic; the stricter optional setting can destroy craft entering an undiscovered body. Non-Kerbin starts additionally need KerbalKonstructs.
- Choose goals such as a Mun flag, Duna or Eeloo return, multiple-body missions, completing the technology tree, random contracts or custom targets. The game panel shows the chosen goal and its completion requirements; Universal Tracker can explain expected parts and capabilities.
- Science packs, buffs and traps share the filler pool. Traps and DeathLink are optional and can damage craft; simulation mode suppresses checks and DeathLink. Separate records track spent refuel charges and fired traps across ordinary save reverts.
Before you start
- The maintainer labels the integration experimental and recommends Normal difficulty. Start with a new Career save, stock solar system and default launch clamps. Panludia has not independently played a campaign or validated all physics and option combinations.
- Pair client 0.9.4 with the separately published APWorld 0.9.1, which declares Archipelago 0.6.7 or newer. There is no APWorld 0.9.4 implied by the client version. Install the mod with CKAN or extract its KSPArchipelago folder into GameData; install ksp1.apworld separately.
- Making History is optional only after configuring the seed accordingly: remove it from Enabled Part Packs if you do not own it. The client rejects enabled expansions that are not installed. Other gameplay mods and planet packs are outside the documented stock-game support.
- Connect through the in-game toolbar at the Space Center. The save-folder file ksp_ap_connection.cfg stores the room password. Keep it private and redact diagnostic bundles. The optional console echoes commands, including any password entered there.
- Use one fresh Career save per seed and slot. Awarded-item indices and pending checks are stored in the career save, but there is no strict save-to-room identity gate. The separate seed-and-slot caches for spent charges do not provide that gate for the whole campaign.
- Automatic reconnect and saved offline-check queues exist, but interrupted delivery is not fully transactional. Keep backups and verify important rewards and final completion after a disconnect. Unknown goal names and failed final-status sends are not comprehensively recovered within the same connection.
- The bundled network library can fall back from secure WebSocket to unencrypted WS for a host without a scheme. Do not treat an ordinary bare-host connection as an encrypted-transport guarantee.
- This listing covers the documented Windows route. The source defines KSP 1.12.5 build references and optional-mod dependencies; that is not independent runtime certification for Windows, Linux, macOS or every mod combination.
