Compatibility notes

• This Steam listing refers to Birth by Sleep FINAL MIX inside KINGDOM HEARTS -HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX-. Artwork and popularity belong to that Steam collection, not a separately sold BBS application.
• The public release is named 0.2.0, but its bundled manifest still declares world 0.1.7 and Archipelago 0.6.3 minimum. Use the actual current release package; do not infer that an older download is identical from the internal version alone.
• Launch the unmodified game once, then configure OpenKH for the PC Steam installation, install Panacea and the BBS Lua backend, and add gaithern/KH-BBS-AP-LUA as the companion mod.
• Download khbbs.apworld separately from the release and install it in Archipelago. OpenKH's Build Only action does not produce this file. Generate your room, then install the generated per-player seed ZIP as an additional OpenKH mod.
• Enable both the companion and the matching seed mod, connect the KHBBS Client to the correct slot, then use OpenKH Build and Run. Choose the same character as the generated slot and start a separate AP save.
• The maintainer explicitly warns that the game is prone to crashing and asks players to save often. Keep backups and update the companion through OpenKH before rebuilding. Panludia has not independently completed the current release.
• Arena Global Locations requires ordinary completion state from other character campaigns. Leave it disabled on a fresh game profile or some checks will be unreachable. Arena Medal checks have minimal additional logic and can require substantial grinding.
• The reviewed companion uses fixed addresses for the global Steam build identified as 1.0.0.2. Japanese-version detection exists, but several address tables do not establish a complete Japanese route. Use the global build; arbitrary later builds, Linux and Proton are not certified here.
• The game and client exchange files in a shared local KHBBSFMAP directory. Run only one BBS integration instance per user profile, keep the same save and seed together, and stop both components before switching campaigns.
• Do not treat the presence of reconnect and item-index code as a guarantee of safe offline play. Keep the client connected while progressing. The bundled tutorial reference still points to a different Kingdom Hearts guide; use the BBS release instructions instead.
