How the game changes
- Logs, bestiary entries, graded moon clears and cumulative fulfilled quota provide checks. Optional scrapsanity adds first-time scrap discoveries.
- Moons, shop items and ship upgrades become rewards. Scanner, terminal access, inventory capacity and stamina can also be gated by received items.
- Choose trophy apparatus collection, an AP-chest collectathon or a Company Credit hunt as the goal.
- Adjust required moon grades, check counts and scrap-spawn logic. Optional exclusions keep dangerous hive, egg or enemy-drop checks out of progression.
- Money, scrap clones, extra quota days and supply drops provide filler rewards; optional enemy and time traps add risk.
- The ship terminal supplies progress, hints, available-check tracking and controlled filler redemption. DeathLink sends on a party wipe and kills a random crew member when received.
Before you start
- Use the matching 0.7.13 APWorld and Thunderstore mod for a new room. This reviewed stable branch includes v81 support. A newer 0.8.0-rc2 was published on October 1, 2026 as a prerelease; its changes are not covered by this build's badges.
- Install APLC through a mod manager with BepInEx, LethalLevelLoader, Archipelago Scrap and LethalAPI Terminal. This listing covers the documented Windows setup, not unverified Proton compatibility.
- One lobby uses one YAML and Archipelago slot. The host connects through game chat; late joiners may need /connect without arguments to join the existing connection.
- Keep versions fixed during an ongoing multiworld unless a specific required fix justifies an update. Pre-0.7.11 generated worlds are not interchangeable with the current branch.
- Avoid Lategame Upgrades: an open compatibility report describes upgrades hanging while connected. Arbitrary custom moons, scrap and monsters require a separately generated world and can produce unbeatable seeds.
- Very rare scrap can create long waits. Quota checks count fulfilled quota, not surplus scrap sold; the collectathon goal can finish early without requiring broad moon progression.
