Static source enumeration finds 6,725 ID-bearing check candidates across mutually exclusive check modes. The full-library defaults produce 554: 400 shelf rows, 72 row milestones, 31 section completions, two floor completions, 45 level-ups and four chests. BookSanity and count checks replace the row-check layout; floor/custom goals trim active scope. The 5,228 item names cover alternate option shapes, not a generated default item pool. Static review only; no seed generation or game runtime was executed.

Playing with others
One single-player library per Archipelago slot, exchanging items with other worlds. The mod keeps per-run save identity and reconnect handling; this is not a shared-library co-op mod.
Known scope and limitations
- Install both the 3.0.0 mod ZIP and librarian.apworld. The package targets game 1.0.13 and declares Archipelago 0.6.4 or later. The title screen should show LibAP v3.0.0.
- Regenerate your YAML template when moving from 2.x: unlock_mode and check_mode are now separate settings. The maintainer states that an existing 2.0.3 run remains usable with the 3.0.0 client; back up its save and connection records before updating.
- The Windows package includes UE4SS, the AP Lua/native client and a required PAK. Copy the supplied Librarian folder into the Steam game installation. Installing only the APWorld does not install the game mod.
- Linux and Steam Deck use the Windows package through Proton with the documented dwmapi DLL override. The guide reports loader regressions in some Proton versions; this is a maintainer-documented route, not an independently tested native Linux build.
- Current saves use game slots 20–30, not a separate Sav_AP file for every seed as an older paragraph still suggests. If all eleven slots are occupied, remove an unwanted AP save through the title-screen Load menu and restart before creating another run.
- If the loaded save is refused, first load the correct AP slot. F7 accepts a layout-only mismatch after checking its contents; it cannot accept books the run never unlocked. A missing save waits for recovery or an explicit New Game choice. Keep backups rather than using acceptance to switch runs.
- Full-library individual-book generation and numbered book bundles can require host opt-in because they are expensive to generate. Default grouped-series settings or a smaller floor/custom goal are simpler starting points.
- A BookSanity check can still lag behind a placement. Remove the book and shelve it again if the check is missing. In hidden-book mode, a picked-up book can become invisible; the maintainer documents reloading or the game’s stray-book recovery as workarounds.
- Connection passwords are saved in plain text in the mod’s ap_config.json. Keep that file private and remove credentials before sharing diagnostics. Network and game-save updates are not an atomic transaction; confirm checks and victory on the server after a disconnection.
- The archive includes UE4SS’s licence, but the integration, native AP client and cooked assets do not have complete source/build and redistribution documentation in the reviewed package. This records an evidence gap without concluding that distribution is unauthorized.
