Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIIIArchipelago randomizer mod
Reshape Lightning's final journey with multiworld quest rewards, equipment and region passes. This update adds unlimited sprint stamina and adjustable material rewards while preserving the five-quest route toward the Final Day.
The 0.5.2 World table defines 708 possible location rows (702 treasure pickups and 6 battle rewards), across 14 regions. With default options, 388 are progression-eligible and 320 are marked outside progression: 48 source-excluded, 35 Ultimate Lair, 1 superboss-related, 7 grind-heavy, and 229 Canvas of Prayers. Fully Remote Items is enabled by default, so these rows remain Archipelago-managed rather than receiving local filler. The item table has 1302 named entries, including 45 DLC-tagged entries disabled by default; a seed selects only a subset according to options and pool rules. The World has no named progressive families or presets. Its victory event is reached after all five main quests unlock the Final Day. Counts are from static inspection of the tagged source and packaged APWorld; no seed generation or in-game runtime was tested.

Known scope and limitations
Use the 0.5.2 APWorld with the bundled LRRandomizer 0.8.2.63, Nova Chrysalia 2.0.3 and the .NET 8 Windows desktop runtime. The generator checks the AP patch version; do not mix an older room patch with this generator.
The World still advertises Archipelago 0.6.3, but its rule_builder import is absent from that version. Use Archipelago 0.6.7 or later with the required module; this is a source compatibility check, not a completed installation test.
English game text is required. Unpack clean Steam game data through Nova, then use matching English or Japanese audio settings. Import the room's .aplrff13 in LRRando, generate the .ncmp, install it through Nova and launch in Unpacked mode before connecting the dedicated AP client.
Hold the sprint button on the field to receive queued items. Keep room in the recovery-item bag: the maintainer documents that incoming recovery items are lost when it is full.
Back up saves and keep each save, room and generated modpack together. Restart the game and client before changing campaigns; generic AP save markers do not verify the connected seed or slot.
Keep the client connected while playing. Check markers are changed before their network submission, and a process interruption can lose an unacknowledged check. The receive cursor and handshake do not establish lossless or exact-once recovery.
Keep Fully Remote Items enabled unless you have separately validated the local-filler option. Its code does not reliably apply the intended recovery-item exclusion for quest rewards.
Close the game fully and relaunch through Nova instead of using File > Reboot. For Nova 1.x to 2.x migration, uninstall old mods first and install into a fresh 2.x setup. Skipping the five main quests to reach the Final Day is outside the modeled route.
The package includes compiled game scripts, a resident data file and screenshots whose redistribution basis was not established in this review. Source licences are identifiable, but full packaged notices are incomplete. This is an evidence limitation, not an allegation against the maintainer.
This review covers static source, managed assemblies and package contents. The compiled scripts' final victory/delivery paths and the separate Nova distribution were not fully reviewed; no game session or Linux/Proton compatibility is certified.
