How the game changes
- Completing a level sends a check. Choose normal completion only, or add Silver, Gold or Diamond time checks; higher tiers include the lower ones. Treasure boxes are an optional extra category.
- Super Jump, Boost, Feather Fall, Gravity Surfaces, Bounce Surfaces and Blue Moving Platforms become received unlocks. Blast can join the pool as an optional useful item, but reachability logic does not assume it.
- Completion Medal items unlock Ultra Arc chapters. Chapter 2 always requires five; later chapters add a configurable five to eight medals each. Extra medals can make access less dependent on finding every required copy.
- Choose a final chapter and finish its last level: Overclocked, Citadel, Mobius Madness or Apogee. Bonus Arc chapters can add more stages and Gold Completion Medal items, but require Gold or Diamond checks to remain enabled.
- Optional traps add five seconds to a run or shuffle cosmetics. The filler time-freeze reward grants five seconds of time credit when there is an active marble to receive it.
- DeathLink shares falls and crushing deaths, with an amnesty of one to twenty deaths, defaulting to five. Console commands can override DeathLink and its amnesty without regenerating the multiworld.
Before you start
- This is an alpha release. The latest client hotfix remains compatible with the included 0.2.0 APWorld. Install both miuultra.apworld and the client ZIP from the linked release rather than assuming their internal version numbers match.
- Use MIUU Mod Loader 0.1.1 and MIUU Console Unlocker 0.1.1, then extract ArchipelagoMIUU into the game's Mods folder. Client 0.2.1 replaced BepInEx; remove the old BepInEx installation when migrating from 0.2.0 or earlier, following the maintainer's instructions.
- For native Linux, use the Linux loader and its documented Steam launch option: ./run.sh %command%. The console unlocker has a known Linux input problem that can miss keystrokes. The macOS loader is explicitly untested, so macOS support is not established here.
- Open the in-game console with ~ and use apConnect address:port slotName [password]. This release prints the supplied password in the console. Use a unique room-only password and keep console logs, screenshots and recordings private.
- Stay connected while completing stages and collecting checks. Progress is checked against the server rather than a persistent offline queue. Restart after connection trouble or before switching rooms; the displayed connection label is not independently updated by a socket-closed handler in the reviewed code.
- Reconnection rebuilds received medals and unlocks, and can replay temporary rewards or cosmetic traps. The hotfix disables a problematic duplicate-item handler; it does not establish an exactly-once delivery guarantee for every effect.
- Keep traps at zero unless at least one trap weight is positive. With a positive trap percentage and both weights left at zero, the reviewed generator removes trap slots without restoring the corresponding filler count. Start with default options before experimenting with dense bonus-chapter pools.
- Native multiplayer, weekly challenges, custom levels, high-score saving, replay saving and Amplitude telemetry are disabled by the mod. Some treasure boxes require intentional deaths, which matters with DeathLink. Back up normal progress; Panludia has not independently completed a campaign with this build.
