Explore a compact platforming world as a cube while movement powers and medals arrive from your multiworld. Find collectibles, open new routes and defeat the boss in a standalone browser client.
The released World defines nine ordinary checks by default. Extra Checks adds four area-entry checks. A separate Boss victory event completes the slot and has no numeric location address, so the maximum is thirteen ordinary checks plus that event.

Playing with others
Each player runs an independent browser game connected to the same Archipelago room. Items and optional DeathLink cross between players; this does not add shared-map co-op. No runtime game session was performed for this review.
Known scope and limitations
Use the APWorld, YAML and Client.zip from release v_0.2.0 together. Install the World on your Archipelago generator, configure the YAML and generate the room. Extract Client.zip and open Client/metrocubevania.html in a desktop browser; no separate PICO-8 purchase is required to play the exported client.
Connect with the room host, port, exact slot and optional password before starting the game. Some optional discovery events can be consumed before server options arrive, and late Medal Hunt initialization can leave its gate closed after medals have already been received. These are static ordering findings, not reproduced gameplay incidents.
Use a fresh page for each room and slot. Logging in again replaces browser connection variables without resetting the running game or disposing the previous client. Existing abilities, consumed rewards and options are not bound to a verified room identity.
The reviewed game has no durable progress save or verified offline check queue. Page reloads restart local progress, and connection loss does not have a complete automatic recovery path. An error while checking or scouting a location can interrupt the bridge callback.
Remote addresses default to WSS; localhost defaults to WS, and explicit schemes are accepted. The password field is unmasked. Long item or player names can exceed the fixed game-message buffer; complete malformed-packet handling is not established.
The original game is credited to FlytrapStudios under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Compared graphics, map, sprite flags, sound effects and music match the licensed original version. World files and static client files match the reviewed source; the release source map embeds the tagged TypeScript. Complete rebuild/export equivalence and dependency-notice coverage remain unverified.
