How the game changes

  • Rebuild movement, weapons and powers through the multiworld. Optional check families include rescued NPCs, scarabs, grouped XP shards, dungeon keys and spirit races.
  • Version 0.6.2 adds eleven interior maps alongside the overworld. Open the map in a supported area to select it automatically, or use the Power of time and Power of protection bindings to cycle maps.
  • Hover over map markers with the mouse or centre cursor on a controller to see the remaining location names. Found checks are hidden; white, yellow and dark-grey text distinguish in-logic, out-of-logic and inaccessible locations.
  • The map now shows the selected objective and a checked/total counter. Choose Dungeon 5, Snow, both bosses or the Spirit Tower; adjust the spirit requirement and shop costs.
  • Split Surf into water-specific unlocks or Supershot into Blastshot and Flameshot. Progressive dash, boost and powers deliver base and enhanced forms in sequence.
  • Navigation tools are granted at the start. Optional dialogue traps and the connection-screen DeathLink toggle add bounded disruptions. Tracker assets now preload incrementally; reduced freezing is an upstream aim, not a measured result here.
Explore game mechanics

Before you start

  • Use MinishootRandomizer.zip, minishoot.apworld and archipelago-template.yaml attached to the same v0.6.2 release. The setup guide still links an older APWorld repository. The bundled World identifies its compatible feature version as 0.6.0; this is distinct from the mod version 0.6.2.
  • BepInEx 5 is required, with HideManagerGameObject enabled; BepInEx 6 is unsupported. Windows and Windows-via-Proton setup are documented. Native macOS instructions exist, but the plugin restricts loading to Minishoot.exe, so native macOS compatibility is unresolved.
  • Back up saves and use a dedicated file for the chosen room and slot. The mod does not bind saves to a verified seed/slot identity; loading a vanilla or different-room save while connected can change its progression.
  • Checks have saved flags and retry/resynchronisation code, but item effects are queued in memory after their received counter advances. Interrupted delivery or reloading an older save is not proven to restore every reward; avoid treating the Connected label as proof that all progress has synchronised.
  • Super Crystal shop checks use Dungeon 5 access as a currency approximation. The maintainer still notes that enough currency is not guaranteed, and rare falls at land/water boundaries remain documented.
  • The new map code has an unguarded cave-transition case and relies on specific game method structure. Exact game-build compatibility and stability were not established by this static review.
  • Use an explicit wss:// server address when secure transport is required: the bundled library can fall back to unencrypted WebSocket for a bare host address. Keep room and save data private.
  • Source, World and distributed DLLs were inspected. All 44 embedded resources match the mod source; 19 World files match the identified World revision and its manifest has generated differences. Complete licence/permission notices for bundled libraries and illustrations were not established; this does not establish unauthorised use.
