How the game changes
- Vehicle unlocks are randomized from the chosen climate and supported content sets. Starting vehicle type and count are configurable, with two starting vehicles by default.
- Generated missions cover transport, financial and construction achievements. Difficulty changes monetary and cargo targets; completing earlier-tier missions opens later tiers.
- Shop purchases send checks. Version 2.2.2 changes access to batches of ten slots, with mission-credit costs, and sorts purchased entries below available ones.
- Ruins create cargo-delivery objectives on the map, with a default pool of twenty-five and up to six active at once. Optional clickable stars provide another check category.
- Six victory targets must all be met: company value, town population, active vehicle count, cargo delivered, yearly profit and completed missions. Difficulty presets set them together; Custom exposes separate targets.
- Optional infrastructure progression turns track directions, signals, bridges, tunnels, airports, terraforming, wagons and town actions into unlocks. The master Sphere Progression toggle enables those categories together; it is off by default.
- Utility rewards supply cash, loan relief and transport bonuses. Twenty speed items raise fast-forward from 100% to its 300% cap; additional copies do not extend that cap.
- Traps can disrupt vehicles, reduce speed or impose financial penalties. Individual trap categories are configurable. Wrath separately punishes excessive demolition and terraforming and is enabled by default.
- Optional NewGRFs add vehicle sets or replace industries and cargo chains. FIRS changes the economy substantially; the installed content must match the generated seed.
- Optional Colby events and tribute-based demigod encounters add objectives. The separate launcher also offers server-free randomized sessions, which are distinct from joining a multiworld.
Before you start
- OpenTTD is available on Steam, but this integration runs a separately distributed fork based on OpenTTD 15.2. Installing the ordinary Steam build alone does not install Archipelago support.
- The maintained route requires Solida's separate Multiworld Launcher on Windows 10 or 11. Add the downloaded .londonplugin, then install the game package through that launcher. It is not a Panludia launcher integration.
- Use engine 2.2.3, APWorld 2.6.0 and plugin 1.5.4 from the release. The plugin manifest requires Multiworld Launcher 3.22.5 or later; the README's older 3.21.2 minimum is not sufficient evidence for this plugin.
- Connect through the launcher and use Join AP in the game. There is no standalone server-login form in the maintained game build. The attached legacy 1.4.1 package has a different connection system and is discontinued.
- Native networked or multi-company play is not supported: the known-bugs document identifies state differences that can desynchronize clients. The exposed Multiplayer Mode option does not establish that those remaining issues are fixed.
- Prefer a modest map, normal or easier targets, vanilla content and conservative options for a first session. A 4096-by-4096 map can require gigabytes of memory, minutes of generation and noticeable pauses with Wrath enabled.
- The README's five goals and monthly-profit wording are outdated. Current profit targets use the last four completed quarters. Existing seeds keep several baked targets; install the current world when generating a new campaign.
- The generator's shop-access rule checks cargo capability, not the game's full mission-credit gate. The latest engine reduces that gate's cost, but timing estimates and extreme option combinations should not be treated as exact logical guarantees.
- Install required NewGRFs before starting and restart after adding them. Some sets do not support Toyland. The maintainer also reports menu-scanning and unavailable OneDrive Documents-path problems that can block content activation.
- The launcher is distributed unsigned and plugins execute code with its permissions. Review the source and plugin declaration; a displayed hash or consent dialog is not a security certification.
- Only the documented Windows integration route is listed. The native Steam game's Linux, macOS and multiplayer support does not prove those capabilities for this fork. No independent full Panludia campaign is claimed.
