How the game changes

  • Skills, shards, resources and other inventory pickups can be sent between worlds. Trees and ordinary pickups no longer guarantee their usual rewards.
  • Teleporters can become items, Launch can be split into fragments, and optional bonus items add randomizer-specific upgrades.
  • Choose trees, wisps, quests or relics as final-boss prerequisites, combine them, or randomly select one. Defeating Shriek still completes the Archipelago slot.
  • Moki logic targets casual players; Gorlek and Kii assume increasingly advanced movement. Logic difficulty is separate from the game's optional hard mode.
  • Optional coupled or decoupled door randomization changes routes. The map's logic filter, launcher tracker and Universal Tracker support help identify reachable checks.
  • Configure DeathLink amnesty, shop hints and selected combat skips. The in-game randomizer wheel displays goal progress and Archipelago actions.

Before you start

  • The maintainer describes this as a playable beta. Install APWorld 0.6.5 and the standalone Ori randomizer at a version newer than 4.44.0, following the current setup guide.
  • Use Play Archipelago in the Ori randomizer launcher, not its ordinary standalone seed generator. Secure connection must match the server endpoint.
  • Prefer the vanilla Inkwater Marsh start for a conservative first seed. Despite recent fixes, the guide still warns that non-vanilla starts can fail generation in small multiworlds.
  • Unsafe logic explicitly includes unverified, extremely difficult paths. It should not be treated as a normal difficulty recommendation.
  • Released or auto-collected checks can satisfy some goal prerequisites without visiting them. A public report describes this with automatic collection; keep those server settings conservative if completing every objective yourself matters.
  • Linux setup uses Flatpak Bottles and requires a manually created bottle with the documented name. Extract the randomizer into a path without spaces; native Linux Ori support is not claimed.
