How the game changes
- Tools and knowledge-dependent access become items; ship-log discoveries, recordings and scanned signals provide checks.
- An integrated ship-log tracker describes items, locations and access requirements.
- Configure alternate starts, warp connections, extra log checks, DLC-only runs and supported story-mod content.
- Goal choices cover the main ending, the DLC and optional encounters. DeathLink can exclude normal time-loop endings.
Before you start
- Install through Outer Wilds Mod Manager with the matching APWorld. Launch through that manager, not ordinary Steam launch.
- Choose a disposable or newly created profile: New Random Expedition can overwrite the selected profile.
- Restart when switching AP slots or after a connection error. A recent player report describes tracker/socket errors when repeatedly switching profiles in one process.
- Alternate starts can involve waiting or shipless travel. The early-key-item option is recommended for asynchronous games; suit shuffle conflicts with non-vanilla starts.
- NomaiVR has explicit compatibility work but remaining caveats. Shared-game Quantum Space Buddies compatibility is tentative, not a supported co-op promise. This listing only confirms the documented Windows path.
