COMMUNITY INTEGRATION

Resident Evil 3 RemakeArchipelago randomizer mod

Escape Raccoon City with keys, weapons and supplies distributed through a multiworld. Optional enemy kills and collectible files expand the checklist, while other players can deliver the equipment needed to continue Jill and Carlos's story. This listing covers the author's Version 3 pre-release.

Setup & releases

Choose the documented game and integration versions and follow the original installation instructions.

Compatibility notes

  • Release 0.2.99 is explicitly a Version 3 pre-release, despite GitHub's non-prerelease flag. Its APWorld manifest declares 0.3.0 and requires Archipelago 0.6.7. Use the client and APWorld from the paired 0.2.99 releases, not an older split RTX client or an arbitrary source download.
  • The published APWorld enables Standard difficulty only. Other difficulty names remain in comments and parts of the guide; they do not establish support in this release. This is the 2020 remake, not the original PlayStation Resident Evil 3.
  • Install the REFramework build matching your RTX or non-RTX game, then the published reframework.zip client into the game folder. Install re3remake.apworld on the seed generator. Connect in the in-game Archipelago window with the exact room and slot. Windows is documented; Linux and Proton are not verified here.
  • Back up saves and mod state. Use one save progression per run, resume the latest save and save often, especially after bosses. Do not switch save files while connected. Restart the game before another seed; seed-and-slot JSON state is not proof of perfect save isolation or crash-safe delivery.
  • For a reusable starting save, reach the Subway Station after meeting Carlos's crew without collecting nearby randomized pickups or documents first. Typewriter teleportation is disabled in the packaged world. Progress through the story normally.
  • The author documents Receive Items Again as a recovery tool after loading an older save. Item replay and out-of-order immediate effects still need real playtesting; do not assume every save rollback restores the intended inventory automatically. Keep backups rather than overwriting your only good save.
  • Leave missable progression and extreme challenge options disabled for a first multiworld. Very low or randomized ammunition, invisible enemies and aggressive pursuit can make completion unreasonable. Bonus-shop or DLC progression equipment can bypass intended gates; do not delete your existing save data just to remove it.
  • The published client differs from the tagged source; an open maintainer-authorized pull request brings release changes back to the branch. Panludia inspected the actual package hashes, documentation, options and selected connection, storage, check and item code. Native DLLs and full campaigns were not executed or independently validated. Use trusted rooms; this is not a security certification.

This integration is maintained independently of Panludia. Downloads are provided by its maintainer. Contact the maintainer through the linked repository or support channels.
