How the game changes
- Replace the normal technology order with a multiworld: HUB milestones, MAM research, hard-drive rewards and selected shop entries become checks, while received recipes and buildings expand your factory.
- Version 2.4.9 corrects gift-box registration used by other games to discover a receiving factory. The reviewed change fixes the shared data-store key; it does not establish lossless gifting under every interruption.
- Archipelago Portals collect resource bundles, transfer factory materials and support cross-game gifts. Optional EnergyLink shares electricity through Power Storage buildings.
- Choose elevator, total sink points, sustained sink output, exploration or seasonal goals, and select whether one or all chosen goals are required. Sink graphs expose targets and the sustained-output timer.
- Configure milestone costs, starting technologies, free samples, hard-drive progression and trap density. One factory is one Archipelago slot; normal Satisfactory co-op players can work in that factory together.
Before you start
- The reviewed Windows client mod is 2.4.9; the separate APWorld remains 2.3.1 (world-v2.3.1-ut-fix). These numbers describe different components. The World requires Archipelago 0.6.3 or newer; the mod declares SML ^3.12.0 and Satisfactory build 491125 or newer.
- Install with Satisfactory Mod Manager so dependencies are resolved, and keep the same mod set on all co-op participants. Steam and Epic Windows modules are supplied. Upstream documents Windows dedicated servers, but that separate package was not examined here; Linux dedicated servers remain unsupported in the guide.
- Create a fresh factory for a new AP slot and keep backups before changing versions. The mod checks a saved room seed, but does not independently bind that save to the original player slot. To change the room address, update Mod Savegame Settings, save and reload as documented.
- Keep room settings and save files private. The connection password is supplied through session settings, and the shipped connection library can fall back to unencrypted transport after initial TLS failures.
- Be cautious with portal transfers of finite exploration collectibles. The reviewed gifting paths do not establish durable, duplicate-free delivery across restarts; the release fixes discovery rather than every recovery case.
- Static review finds gaps in the World’s belt-speed and radioactive-material predicates. The World’s completion approximation also differs from the client’s any/all goal handling. Treat generated routing and tracker completion as guidance, and confirm the actual chosen goal in game.
- The guide retains co-op limitations for starting inventory and DeathLink. Some effects are implemented in compiled Blueprints, and the native source notes a storage-upload unlock that does not persist through death. Extra mods that alter progression require separate compatibility checks.
- Artwork notices identify some assets derived from Satisfactory and separately licensed icons. A complete redistribution basis and native dependency/source match were not established. These are limits of the reviewed evidence, not a finding of unauthorised use.
