How the game changes
- The base configuration contains 80 reward checks: 32 C-rank action stages, 17 upgrade points, 12 field emblems, four sublevels and 15 boss fights.
- Optional categories add mission mode, Chao eggs and races, 709 enemy identities, 692 capsules and 23 area-specific fish catches. In total 1,680 reward checks are defined; mutually exclusive variants do not all appear together.
- One enabled character starts unlocked; the others, upgrades and emblems can arrive from anywhere in the multiworld. Choose emblem gates or 18 shuffled travel/key items.
- The final goal is Perfect Chaos after all enabled requirements. Default requirements are 32 action-stage clears and 44 emblems. Optional emerald, mission, boss and Chao-race goals combine with these.
- Entrance shuffling, character-specific C/B/A/S checks, five logic levels, fishing assistance, music options, DeathLink, RingLink and six trap types provide separate controls.
Before you start
- Use the 2004 PC game setup and the release-matched SADX Mod Loader package. The packaged APWorld reports 1.2.2 and requires Archipelago 0.6.3 or later; the release tag is v1.2.2b.
- S-rank missions require Hard logic or above. Extended stage/boss entrance shuffling disables special Chao egg checks. Requirements can automatically enable their related checks during generation.
- The mod expects completed stage, mission and boss counters for its final gate, while the World models their reachability. These are distinct checks; the final fight must still be won.
- The distributed World and pinned sources were inspected, including the client coordinate tables. The DLL was not rebuilt or run; Windows, Proton and completed multiworld behavior were not tested.
