The APWorld defines 374 addressable rows: 3 power unlocks, 132 Splasher/Vortex checks, 22 Golden Splashers, 22 level clears, 88 Time Attack medals and 107 checkpoints. Static evaluation of source inclusion rules with default options creates 179 checks; medal and checkpoint locations are off by default. These source-derived counts do not come from seed generation or a playtest. The default goal is 80 Splashers. Keys are off, so levels start unlocked. The published package differs from its pinned source in locations.py, rules.py and archipelago.json.

Playing with others
Each slot plays its own platforming run while trading Archipelago items. Separate local save directories are needed for different Splasher slots; the reviewed receipt identity also has a same-game multi-slot limitation.
Known scope and limitations
Use the APWorld from v.0.0.9.1 and the matching client hotfix. For a first installation, start with the complete 0.0.9 Windows package, including assets, language files, connection.yaml and Proxy.exe, then replace the two plugin DLLs with 0.0.9.1. The hotfix ZIP alone is incomplete. Its native label is 0.0.9.1 while the APWorld manifest still says 0.0.9; Archipelago 0.6.7 or newer is required.
Install the documented BepInEx 5.x Windows x64 loader, launch once to create plugins, then copy the supplied plugins, assets and language files to their documented folders. Configure Address, Port, Slot and Password in connection.yaml and ring the assistant bell to connect. Enable Proxy for internet rooms: its intended TLS path avoids the direct client’s plaintext fallback. Keep connection.yaml private and remove credentials from shared logs.
Levels can be open from the start or unlocked by individual/zone keys. Water, Stickink and Bouncink can be shuffled independently or progressively; progressive water adds polluted, clean and speed stages. Rescues, power unlocks and clears are checks, with optional medals and checkpoint checks. Collect the configured rescuer quota, then finish Good Luck Splasher to receive Freedom.
The actual hotfix corrects individual keys unlocking the preceding level. The actual APWorld updates Potatoes Ink and A Bad Encounter rules. These package changes are missing from the tagged sources, so downloads were reviewed directly. Other multi-slot rule issues remain: rules and location-count metadata are shared across generated Worlds instead of being reset per slot.
Checkpoint items can be individual, level packs or zone packs, with useful/progression modes and optional instant rescue collection. Level exits still bypass checkpoint-item gates. Avoid combining a 100% Splasher Pool, individual level keys and progressive water with medals disabled: the reviewed pool needs more items than available checks. Default pool settings leave room for filler.
The current client implements item popups despite older documentation saying they are absent. A rescue counter, door/checkpoint feedback and an external PopTracker help track progress; Universal Tracker is reported to have progressive-power limits. Optional traps, Hero Mode and DeathLink have configurable death/checkpoint amnesty.
Back up AP saves and remain connected for unique checks. Failed events are kept only while the process stays open, and saved level clears may not be resent after an offline restart. AP saves use the seed without the slot, so use separate game/save directories for different slots. Item deduplication also omits the sending slot: multiple Splasher players can share check IDs and lose a received item.
Windows is the documented target. A Linux base package exists, but it supplies Proxy while the reviewed client always starts Proxy.exe; native Linux connection support is not established. Complete asset redistribution permissions and dependency notices were not supplied. The source and package review does not establish runtime compatibility.
