Browse possible checks, rewards and settings. What appears in your game depends on your World options.
The hash-verified 0.5.2 World defines 1,628 check candidates. With its default settings, duplicate-location compression excludes 596 nearby or repeated pickups, chemicals and manifests are off (176 candidates), and the starting-wrench check is off (1), leaving 855 checks. That total includes 147 Cyber Module Shop checks, each purchased in-game for 6 Cyber Modules, and five Replicator purchase checks. The default item pool also contains 855 instances, plus one precollected Science Access Card. These are source-defined pool counts, not a promise that every candidate survives a generated seed. No seed or game session was run.

A solo System Shock 2 campaign exchanges items with other Archipelago worlds. Players may progress together or at different times while the server is available; keep the client connected during play. Shared-save co-op is not claimed.
Known scope and limitations
- Install both ss2.apworld and Archipelago.kpf from release 0.5.2. The APWorld manifest declares Archipelago 0.5.2, the README says 0.5.1 or newer, and the supplied YAML template requires 0.6.7; use 0.6.7 or newer to meet every published version declaration. Both the player and seed generator need the APWorld. Never update the mod or world in the middle of a run.
- This listing covers the Windows 25th Anniversary Remaster. Put Archipelago.kpf in the game's mods folder and enable it when starting a new game. The classic edition uses a different .7z package, SS2Tool and SCP beta8; do not apply those classic instructions to the remaster. Linux, Proton and console integration support are not established here.
- Start System Shock 2 Client from the Archipelago launcher and connect before starting the game or loading a save. For the remaster, select the Nightdive Studios/System Shock 2 Remastered folder under Windows Saved Games, not the installation directory. Changing host.yaml paths requires restarting the client.
- Received items only begin arriving after leaving the airlock and collecting the first location. Keep progression items: losing one can require recovery through the game's console or Archipelago. With chemical checks enabled, the first vanadium and two antimony items are progression-critical.
- Back up saves and use a dedicated campaign per room and slot. The inspected bridge compares a shortened seed identifier, not a complete seed-and-slot identity. Its local files are cleared on client shutdown; do not assume offline checks are durably preserved or that it prevents every wrong-save combination.
- The inspected client can resend already observed checks, and malformed bridge data can repeatedly enter its error handler. If synchronization reports errors, follow the maintainer's restart-and-reload guidance rather than continuing unchecked. These code-review concerns have not been reproduced in a game session by Panludia.
- Native shared-save co-op is not established for this integration, even though the base game offers multiplayer. A published release and inspected scripts do not constitute a security certification or an independently completed campaign.
