ULTRAKILL 3.5.6 defines 284 check candidates; default settings create 140 baseline locations, while challenges, Perfect Ranks, secret exits, enemy rewards and side activities are option-controlled. The defaults start at 0-1, target 8-4 after 15 level completions, and skip 0-E, 1-E, P-1 and P-2; skipped-level and goal-level locations are automatically excluded from item placement. The APWorld requires Archipelago 0.6.7, and its 12 Python modules match the tagged source archive after CRLF-to-LF normalization. These mechanics come from the exact release assets and tagged source; no seed generation or game session was run.

Playing with others
An individual ULTRAKILL run connected to a multiworld. Native shared-game co-op is not part of the reviewed installation.
Known scope and limitations
- Use r2modman or Gale, or install manually with PluginConfigurator and the required mod loader. Install the matching ultrakill.apworld for generation.
- Start on a fresh save slot and do not complete the tutorial first: its flags can prevent connecting. The NoTutorial companion mod is optional.
- Logic assumes intentional damage is acceptable. Choose exclusions and check types to match your skill; game difficulty can be changed between attempts.
- This entry confirms the documented Windows route, not independently tested Proton support or compatibility with multiplayer mods.
- Use 3.5.6 for its slide and Gutterman shield logic corrections, skull-spawn fix and revised Idol requirements.
