Build settlements with an economy unlocked by other worlds. Resource permissions, optional blueprints and biome keys reshape production while custom settlement achievements send checks toward reforging the final seal.
The v1.2.2 World source defines 321 possible checks. With default options, 90 are fixed: 72 base milestones plus 18 reputation milestones at 5, 10 and 14 across six base biomes. Five more are selected randomly from 52 extra trade candidates, for 95 locations in total. DLC content is off by default. The release APWorld matches 7 of 9 files in the pinned source archive; its embedded manifest still reports World 1.2.1. The setup guide names Archipelago 0.6.4 and game 1.8.13 as tested versions. Static source review only; no generated seed or game session was tested.

Playing with others
Each player manages their own settlements in a shared Archipelago multiworld, not a native co-op settlement. Per-profile connection memory supports returning to the campaign, and release notes address asynchronous item delivery. Keep the mod connected for exchanges and use matching room credentials when resuming.
Known scope and limitations
Use APWorld 1.2.2 with the separately distributed game mod 1.2.1. The World archive still reports world_version 1.2.1 internally; use its release URL and recorded hash to distinguish it. The mod pins BepInExPack 5.4.2304 and ATS API 3.5.0.
The guide names Steam game 1.8.13 and Archipelago 0.6.4 as tested versions. Linux server downloads do not establish Linux or Proton support for the game mod. This listing covers the documented Windows route.
Install in a separate Thunderstore or r2modman profile and connect before starting a settlement. Use a dedicated game profile and back up saves: the suggested meta.addAll and goals.unlockAll commands change progression.
Training Expedition changes several normal defaults, including eighteen reputation, longer storms and starting supplies. Start with vanilla recipes and blueprint items disabled for a gentler introduction. Only enable DLC you own.
The APWorld now makes its trade selection seed-specific. Its recipe logic still contains an Academy name mismatch in the service-building lookup, so do not treat every blueprint/recipe combination as independently validated.
Room and slot memory is stored per game profile, but the received-item counter is shared. The connection shortcut does not apply the same mismatch prompt as the normal connection command. Keep profiles and campaigns separate, and do not force-connect over a campaign you want to retain.
Disconnected checks are queued in memory, and the mod asks the player to reconnect after a connection error. Restarting during an offline unique action or final victory is not covered by a durable replay mechanism. Confirm important checks on the server before closing.
Gifting remains optional. Inspection found inconsistent entries in its resource-name table, so some resources may not be recognized correctly; keep important progression exchanges on the normal item route.
The AP client supports explicit wss connections but can fall back to unencrypted ws when no scheme is specified. Use the protected address supplied by a trusted server operator. Its local cache path handling also lacks a verified confinement guarantee.
The packaged DLLs were inspected statically. Their public C# source is older than the current mod, and a complete source-to-build match has not been established. The review does not claim a completed campaign or verified compatibility with newer game versions.
