Burger ShopArchipelago randomizer mod

Serve a menu that grows as other worlds send recipes. Story levels provide checks and progressive shop keys open new chapters, while many food items deliberately make customer orders more demanding.

How the game changes

  • Eighty Story Mode levels provide checks. Five Star Mode is enabled by default and requires five stars for a check; turning it off accepts any completion. The goal is completing level eighty under that same completion threshold.
  • After the opening tutorial, the first ten levels need no shop key. Seven Progressive Burger Shop items each open another block of ten. The final alien chapter additionally requires Triple Bacon Cheeseburger, Ranch Dressing and Large Lemon Lime Soda.
  • Recipes determine which orders customers may request. Most recipe items are classified as traps because receiving more food combinations increases the workload. The three alien foods are progression items instead.
  • Five Progressive Salad copies add lettuce, tomato, onion, olives and croutons in order. Workstation, BurgerBot, Cookies and four powerup unlocks provide useful assistance.
  • Optional Starter Recipes place a random large side, drink and ice cream into early local rewards, delivered after the first qualifying level check. They make the beginning more demanding, not easier. Bonus Recipes, enabled by default, replace available filler with extra combinations.
  • Cookies start unlocked by default; BurgerBot does not. Customer counts and casts can remain vanilla, use a fixed queue size or randomize character groups. Aliens retain their special placement in this game.
  • Already-checked levels are reflected as five-star completions on the map when their rewards have already been sent, including server collection. The final level is excluded from this shortcut and must still be played.
Explore game mechanics

Before you start

  • The documented route is the Windows Steam game with Archipelago 0.6.7 or later. Install burger_shop.apworld and the Burger Shop game-data ZIP from the same 0.3.2 release; Burger Shop 2 has separate files.
  • Copy the archive's archipelago and properties folders into the game directory. Launch and close the vanilla game once if it has never run, then connect Burger Shop Client before launching the game and selecting its automatically managed Archipelago profile.
  • Only one managed Archipelago profile is retained locally. Connecting to a different room or slot replaces it once it can be safely reset; back up the save and its .ap sidecar yourself before changing campaigns. Do not use Archipelago as the name of an unrelated personal profile.
  • Room identity is retained in the AP server save. Deleting that server save creates a new identity and resets the managed local profile on reconnect; merely rehosting the same seed is not necessarily a continuation.
  • If the client requests a restart after changing level data, close and relaunch the game before playing. Until then, the client intentionally does not track progress from the old level configuration.
  • New recipe orders take effect when a level starts. Finish the level or return to the map to see them. Powerup changes can apply immediately, so different kinds of received items do not share one delivery timing.
  • Five-star play without starting Cookies can become very difficult. More than four simultaneous customer slots causes a substantial late-game difficulty spike. Starting BurgerBot and disabling five-star requirements offer gentler configurations.
  • Back up the original game files and saves before installation. The client edits game data and the dedicated profile; keep it connected while playing. No native co-op, DeathLink or Linux route is documented, and Panludia has not independently completed a campaign.
