Source catalog Release APDoom client v2.0.0 · Archipelago core World 0.6.7Core World source: Archipelago 0.6.7 · client release: APDoom v2.0.0

Archipelago 0.6.7 defines 474 unique addressable location entries across all four episodes. The default episode toggles select Episodes 1–3 and leave Episode 4 off, giving 348 checks: 27 level exits and 321 ordinary randomized item slots. Each enabled exit receives its matching fixed “- Complete” event and is removed from the random item-pool size. Nine explicitly one-attempt checks stay active but cannot hold progression items unless Allow Death Logic is enabled. These counts come from the pinned source tables and generation code; no seed or DOOM session was run.

Actions and milestones that can send a check to your multiworld.

474 locationsDefault marks checks from configurations selected by standard options; the generated set can still vary with logic and seed.

Playing with others

A solo DOOM campaign per slot participates in live or asynchronous multiworld play. This does not promise native same-map co-op support.

Known scope and limitations

  • Buy/install Steam's DOOM + DOOM II collection; this entry covers original DOOM, not every campaign included in that collection. Artwork and review totals refer to the collection.
  • Use current APDoom 2.0, not legacy 1.2.0 still linked by older tutorials. The maintainer explicitly withdraws support for the legacy client and documents serious old DeathLink issues.
  • The new launcher detects installed Steam WADs. If copying manually, use the original DOS DOOM.WAD from dos/base, not a rerelease or shareware WAD.
  • Install 2.0 in a fresh folder rather than mixing its 64-bit DLLs with the older 32-bit package. Back up your existing saves separately.
  • The stable client works with the core Archipelago world. Separate beta APWorlds add features but are optional; this overview describes core gameplay.
  • Windows and Linux AppImage builds are published, with explicit Steam Deck support. Custom WADs and additional sound modifications have their own compatibility limits; they are not automatically supported by this entry.
