Connect a Dwarf Fortress settlement to Archipelago through blueprints, production milestones and native caravan purchases. Release 2.1.1 fixes workshop and shop handling; permit, recovery and compatibility limits remain.
The page lists all 1,477 fixed location addresses and the 75 Craftsanity checks generated by the default settings. The APWorld also registers 52,100 possible Craftsanity address variants across item, material and threshold options; those non-default variants are described as a family rather than emitted as tens of thousands of repetitive rows. The default goal filter and disabled Skillsanity reduce active checks to 161 fixed plus 75 Craftsanity (236). Across supported settings the highest simultaneous count is 53,570; it is not a typical seed count.
Actions and milestones that can send a check to your multiworld.
1,552 locationsDefault marks checks from configurations selected by standard options; the generated set can still vary with logic and seed.

Playing with others
Each Dwarf Fortress settlement connects as an Archipelago slot and exchanges items with other games through the AP server. The integration does not add shared control of the same fortress.
Known scope and limitations
Install dwarf_fortress.apworld and mods.zip from the same 2.1.1 release, plus Dwarf Fortress and DFHack. Follow the guide's Archipelago 0.6.7 target: the APWorld manifest lists an older minimum, so it is not a reliable compatibility matrix.
Connect Dwarf Fortress Client before starting DF. Generate a new world with Dwarfipelago enabled and the DwarfipelagoWorld preset, then choose an embark with gorlaks in the Neighbors list. Raws cannot be added retroactively; missing neighbors make the 50 shop checks unavailable.
The trade depot gates checks and item delivery. The mod attempts to place or adopt one; a manually built depot is the documented fallback. Keep a backup of saves and custom world-generation settings before the client refreshes installed-mod snapshots.
The client accepts seeds from 2.0.0,2.0.1,2.1.0 and 2.1.1 as one compatibility group. Upgrading from 1.3.x requires both a new multiworld seed and a newly generated DF world. Existing worlds must already contain the required shop raws.
For the clearest reviewed route, use Legendary Wealth with crafting permits off. Gauntlets Permit exists in the World but has no matching Lua receiver; Dwarfsanity therefore lacks exact World/mod correspondence. Population Boom is explicitly unfinished. Some difficult checks use approximate prerequisites or depend on world generation.
Turning traps off avoids additional hostile spawns and destructive effects. With all crafting permits enabled, one trap exclusion is applied to the initial pool but not to padding. DeathLink can permanently kill citizens; select those effects deliberately.
The code persists received-item counts and check queues, but an item index can advance after a failed delivery, and checks are cleared before server acknowledgement. Victory sending also has a latch set before transmission. Reconnection alone does not establish loss-free recovery; back up the fortress and retain logs if progression disagrees.
Readable APWorld files and all Lua mod files match the identified source revision after newline normalization, and published archive hashes were verified. Shipped Python caches, complete redistribution notices and an exact DF/DFHack environment matrix remain unestablished. This review did not execute the game or downloaded tests.
