How the game changes

  • Checks: The v1.1.0 APWorld and tagged browser client map both crafted Compounds and Intermediates to location checks. The README says intermediates do not give checks, so this documentation difference is recorded for players.
  • Items: Elements, Progressive Filter and Progressive Item Limit. Filters identify exhausted ingredients or combinations currently blocked by missing items, while the item-limit upgrade expands the workspace.
  • Goals: Complete the configured set of Intermediate recipes. The source APWorld and browser client use checked Intermediate locations to track this goal.
  • Options: Element count, intermediate count and extra filler compounds each default to100. Compounds as ingredients is optional. Recipe structure is generated per seed rather than copying a fixed alchemy tree.
Explore game mechanics

Before you start

  • Install the v1.1.0 elementipelago.apworld with Archipelago 0.6.5 or newer, generate the seed and connect from the maintainer-hosted browser client to an Archipelago server. The hosted client requires SSL for remote connections. The public client source is pinned to the game's tag, but the live hosted bytes were not compared with that source.
  • The release tag is v1.1.0; its APWorld manifest says world_version 0.1.0, and slot data reports 1.0.0. The pinned browser client accepts slot-data versions 0.3.x and 1.x. These are separate version fields; no live compatibility session was run.
  • The APWorld and browser code send checks for crafted Intermediate products, while the README says intermediates do not give checks. The package defines 1,000 possible Intermediate addresses; default settings activate 100. Treat the code-derived behavior as unverified until tested in a live room. Element names can display the originating locations from other worlds.
  • Open reports concern Universal Tracker reachability, duplication of placed items and patterns in the custom RNG. They have not been independently reproduced here. Browser execution, persistence and security have not been audited.
  • Keep the client, game and APWorld versions paired; compatibility with other combinations is not established in the reviewed sources.
