ElementipelagoArchipelago randomizer mod

Combine elements in a recipe tree generated for your multiworld. Other games supply new ingredients; discovering compounds sends checks back to the room.

GAME MECHANICS

Explore game mechanics

Browse possible checks, rewards and settings. What appears in your game depends on your World options.

Source catalog Release Elementipelago APWorld v1.1.0 with the tagged browser client sourceAPWorld manifest world_version 0.1.0; separate from the release tag and slot_data version.

The release APWorld defines 3,000 location addresses and 2,005 item IDs. A generated seed activates only the ranges selected by its options.

Browse the gameplay families that can send checks to your multiworld.

3,000 possible addressed AP locations: Compound and IntermediateDefault options activate 198 Compound and 100 Intermediate locations (298 addressed locations total). The README says Intermediates do not give checks, but the APWorld assigns each an address and locked item, and the tagged browser client calls client.check for each crafted product. This code/documentation difference has not been tested in a live room.

Known scope and limitations

  • Install the v1.1.0 elementipelago.apworld with Archipelago 0.6.5 or newer, generate the seed and connect from the maintainer-hosted browser client to an Archipelago server. The hosted client requires SSL for remote connections. The public client source is pinned to the game's tag, but the live hosted bytes were not compared with that source.
  • The release tag is v1.1.0; its APWorld manifest says world_version 0.1.0, and slot data reports 1.0.0. The pinned browser client accepts slot-data versions 0.3.x and 1.x. These are separate version fields; no live compatibility session was run.
  • The APWorld and browser code send checks for crafted Intermediate products, while the README says intermediates do not give checks. The package defines 1,000 possible Intermediate addresses; default settings activate 100. Treat the code-derived behavior as unverified until tested in a live room. Element names can display the originating locations from other worlds.
  • Open reports concern Universal Tracker reachability, duplication of placed items and patterns in the custom RNG. They have not been independently reproduced here. Browser execution, persistence and security have not been audited.
  • Keep the client, game and APWorld versions paired; compatibility with other combinations is not established in the reviewed sources.
