How the game changes

  • Coins, level exits, boss hearts and tutorial panels provide checks. The available locations depend on the selected options; entering every room and touching every checkpoint are not supported checks in this release.
  • Level gimmicks become items that enable their corresponding objects and interactions. Grouped and progressive items can unlock several related mechanics over successive deliveries.
  • World openness ranges from individually locked exits to a fully open layout. Paths can follow the original level completion rules, arrive as individual items or use progressive normal and secret-path items.
  • Entrance randomization changes the connections between levels. It is distinct from Door Rando inside levels, which the release explicitly identifies as nonfunctional.
  • Three goal choices target the World 5 boss, the Universal Bearing Collectable or Home after obtaining that collectible. Logic difficulty ranges from intended routes to simple skips, advanced skips and glitches.
  • The mod replaces the save-selection screen with connection fields. It uses the normally unused fourth save slot and reconstructs received item counts and checked locations from Archipelago when connecting.

Before you start

  • Download the client ZIP and fantastic_fist.apworld together from the maintainer's V0.0.4 release. Its files are identical to the Fantastic_Fist_V0.0.4 release in the shared Archipelago-WahInfinite repository. Use the game-specific release rather than that shared repository's latest release. The APWorld requires Archipelago 0.6.7 or newer.
  • The documented mod route is Windows with MelonLoader. The guide pins the loader as 7.1 and warns that later versions fail to hook; the corresponding official release is 0.7.1. Copy the client archive contents into Fantastic Fist's Mods folder as documented. Native Linux and macOS game availability does not establish mod support.
  • Keep DeathLink, Roomsanity, Checkpointsanity and Door Rando disabled. They appear in the options but are explicitly not functional in 0.0.4. Entrance randomization is a separate implemented feature.
  • Use simple alphanumeric slot names and room passwords: the inspected connection screen accepts letters, digits, colons and dots, but not spaces, hyphens or underscores. Connection Info.txt under the user's AppData stores the room password in plain text; do not include it in shared diagnostics.
  • Back up saves and dedicate the fourth save slot to one room at a time. Using a separate slot protects the usual campaigns from normal selection, but is not a complete seed-and-slot binding guarantee.
  • Stay connected while playing. The inspected location handler refuses to send a check when disconnected; it does not establish durable offline check recovery. Asynchronous multiworld participation still requires a reachable room while each player plays.
  • The release fixes a glitched-logic generation error and a World 3 restart exception. Goal reporting in the client is not proof that every generation option combination is validated. This source and package review is not an independent full campaign, binary audit or security certification.
