How the game changes
- Checks cover stored objects, cats, dumbbells, hats, jewels, truck purchases and stunt scores, vehicles, Euro pickups and the speedway. Tony and the forklift intentionally share one check. Hatsanity and Jewelsanity are enabled by default; Eurosanity remains optional and disabled by default.
- The item pool includes stored objects, four progressive Mystical Dumbbells, three progressive Cooling Rods, truck upgrades and the Brazil Train Ticket. Version 1.8.0 replaces separate jewel-colour items with four Progressive Mystical Jewels, granted in order, and ensures the Kei Truck Radio is included.
- Choose Orb, Museum, Fellowship or Lugh, or combine several and complete all selected goals. Orb is the default. Museum needs 100 stored items; Lugh requires the four progressive jewels and automatically enables Jewelsanity. Select at least one goal.
- Default access thresholds remain 15/25/35/50. Version 1.8.0 raises contradictory later thresholds in steps of five instead of immediately rejecting them. The Museum access threshold remains separate from the Museum ending requirement.
- Dumpster strength limits now always apply; the old Dumpster Weight Blocking switch is removed. Optional Lugh Quest Locking requires receiving the relevant quest object before offering it.
- The updated rules add the city-to-Purgatory route, recognize alternate locations for several objects, correct object IDs and tighten truck-score and upgrade requirements. These are source-level changes, not independent in-game validation.
- Police and Phone Ratio traps are enabled by default and can be disabled together. They have bounded duration; optional raccoon-colour randomization changes appearance between areas. F1 opens the AP settings/progress tab, including item-popup, chat and monitor-sound controls.
Before you start
- Pair APWorld 1.8.0 with mod 1.8.0 and the documented Archipelago 0.6.7 environment. Extract mod_boot.gd, modloader.pck and override.cfg into the game root, with Jeffdev-FuniRaccoonAP.zip inside the mods folder. Keep that inner ZIP intact.
- When upgrading from 1.7.0, back up saves and override.cfg, then remove the obsolete mods.pck from the game root as instructed by the maintainer. Do not mix old and new mod files or assume existing generated rooms support the changed jewel and object IDs.
- Start a new raccoon save labelled No Archipelago Data and use that save for the same room and slot. The client rejects a different seed and the connection form locks the saved slot name. Component-version mismatches are not comprehensively rejected.
- An established disconnection returns you to the menu. Reconnect manually to resume: saved checks are resent and a saved receipt index skips ordinary duplicates. This is not a disconnected-play mode or a guarantee against gaps and interrupted item delivery.
- The final victory status is marked in the save before transmission and is not automatically retried by the reconnect path. Confirm the server records completion when finishing a goal, especially near a disconnect.
- The room password is stored locally in ap_connect.json. Keep that file out of public reports and shared archives. The client attempts WSS first but can automatically fall back to unencrypted WS when that attempt fails.
- Use a nonempty goal selection and start with the default thresholds. An empty selection is inconsistent between the World and client; unusual threshold combinations still lack detailed reproducible generation evidence.
- This review covers the documented Windows Steam route. The manifest does not identify a precise compatible retail-game build. No campaign, other operating system or complete loader/runtime combination was independently tested. No DeathLink option is exposed by this World.
- The mod scripts match the pinned source apart from line endings, and the World matches apart from packaging metadata and line endings. The bundled loader and replacement assets were inventoried, but complete reconstruction and redistribution provenance remain limited.
