How the game changes
- Meeting characters, discovering their notes, seeing skill events and learning tutorial roles provide checks. Surviving the secretly assigned Bug loop is another objective.
- Received items include character notes, skills, roles and experience bonuses. Character randomization starts with four random crew members and unlocks the others through items.
- Disable individual character unlocks to receive Progressive Crew Max instead. This changes how the cast expands, rather than introducing additional human players.
- The current goal is the Normal Ending. Choose the required note percentage, from zero to full completion, with 80% as the default; the final event chain is still required.
- An optional setting allows changing the protagonist's gender during a Bug-role night with Yuriko, so logic may use otherwise exclusive event paths. It is off by default.
- Universal Tracker distinguishes strict prerequisites from softer event-access assumptions. Its glitched label can mean an unusual achievable setup, not an actual game exploit.
- DeathLink can be toggled during a run. The mod separates saves by seed; removing it restores access to ordinary saves.
Before you start
- Install client 0.1.5 and APWorld 0.1.4: their different numbers are intentional published components. The world requires Archipelago 0.6.7 or later, and the client targets BepInEx 5.
- Run the game once with BepInEx, then extract the client into BepInEx/plugins. Avoid nesting the GnosiaArchipelagoRandomizer folder twice. Connect before starting an AP save and keep backups.
- Reaching the note threshold alone does not finish the run. Complete The Final Problem, win a loop with Setsu, then begin a zero-Gnosia loop for the Normal Ending.
- Events depend on cast, role combinations and recent appearances. An in-logic event is not guaranteed on the next loop; the guide provides event and cast diagnostics when progress stalls.
- Small randomized casts and delayed role items can make early loops difficult. An actual multiworld player reports this pacing pressure even while checks and DeathLink work.
- The author documents freezes and interrupted events around DeathLink. Keep it off for a conservative first run; it can be disabled in the console without regenerating the seed.
- Typing in the console can also advance the game. The documented input-blocking toggle prevents that but temporarily disables mouse-click event advancement.
- There is no built-in location tracker, additional goal set, personality randomizer or trap system in the inspected release. Windows Steam is documented; other platforms and fully offline synchronization are not established.
