How the game changes
- Progressive Shards unlock later runs; abilities, hub NPCs and Captain upgrades can enter the item pool.
- Optional speed progression starts at 60% and increases through received upgrades to 120%. Persistent items provide equipment at a Shard's start.
- Boss defeats, fragment clears, shop purchases, costumes and hub upgrades can send checks. Shop and fragment checks may be global or per Shard.
- Choose your starting Shard and target boss, including supported Disaster Shards. Global Shop Packs can gate later groups of purchases.
- Optional DeathLink and fragment-long traps connect your runs to the multiworld. The mod's built-in connection interface avoids a separate game-specific client.
Before you start
- Use Archipelago 0.6.4 or newer, the current haste.apworld and the Steam Workshop mod. Each seed needs a new, empty save selected in Settings: vanilla saves and previous AP saves are not compatible.
- The mod changes story and meta-progression flags. This is a randomized progression route, not an untouched story playthrough.
- Check-density and distribution settings can multiply campaign length dramatically. Version 0.5.1 disallows one especially excessive triangular/dynamic combination; other demanding combinations remain possible.
- Leave Base Disaster Level disabled unless deliberately seeking an advanced challenge: its author explicitly provides no safeguarding logic for that option.
- Use an Archipelago text client for hints and chat. Endless Shard handling and an in-game DeathLink toggle remain listed as future work, not available features.
- Speed Demon REVIVED is incompatible and HarmonyX has caused hub-NPC problems. macOS and console editions are explicitly unsupported; Linux generator instructions alone do not establish Linux game-mod support.
