The APWorld source defines 1,190 candidate checks; the source-derived defaults activate 264: 10 boss defeats, 150 per-Shard fragment clears, 80 per-Shard shop purchases, 21 Captain upgrades and 3 ability purchases. The docs say 23 Captain upgrade checks, but the released location table and item quantities define 21. The selected goal boss receives A New Future on its existing boss check. These totals are static source calculations, not a generated seed or a runtime result.

Playing with others
Individual Haste runs exchange progression through an Archipelago multiworld, live or asynchronously. This integration does not add a native shared-world co-op mode.
Known scope and limitations
- Use Archipelago 0.6.4 or newer, the current haste.apworld and the Steam Workshop mod. Each seed needs a new, empty save selected in Settings: vanilla saves and previous AP saves are not compatible.
- The mod changes story and meta-progression flags. This is a randomized progression route, not an untouched story playthrough.
- Check-density and distribution settings can multiply campaign length dramatically. Version 0.5.1 disallows one especially excessive triangular/dynamic combination; other demanding combinations remain possible.
- Leave Base Disaster Level disabled unless deliberately seeking an advanced challenge: its author explicitly provides no safeguarding logic for that option.
- Use an Archipelago text client for hints and chat. Endless Shard handling and an in-game DeathLink toggle remain listed as future work, not available features.
- Speed Demon REVIVED is incompatible and HarmonyX has caused hub-NPC problems. macOS and console editions are explicitly unsupported; Linux generator instructions alone do not establish Linux game-mod support.
