How the game changes

  • The generator creates one check for each selected track, grouped by album. The track list and album unlocks are personal to your library, so there is no fixed universal location count.
  • The first selected album is unlocked at the start. Each remaining album has its own shuffled unlock. Albums are independent access gates, not successive progressive tiers.
  • Every album’s final listed track holds an Album finished! marker. The standard World and client goal counts these markers; earlier tracks do not have to be completed first.
  • An experimental client-only setting instead waits for every distinct track URI to be marked finished. It does not change the World’s marker-based completion logic.
  • Four equally weighted junk items fill the pool: Scratched disc, .mov file, Funny animal .gif and Concert tickets. They do not grant real media files or tickets.
Explore game mechanics

Before you start

  • The published generator does not account for every fixed completion reward when sizing a multi-album item pool. A static three-album example has eight shuffled items for six available checks; multi-album generation remains unresolved.
  • Use distinct album/track names and avoid repeating the same track across selections. ASCII-normalized names become dictionary keys, while the client indexes tracks by URI; collisions can collapse separate entries. Empty albums also have no final-track marker.
  • The README mentions playlists, but both shipped get_playlist_with_tracks methods return None. The local backend imports folders; OpenSubsonic implements album and artist search. The supplied backends also expose track playback paths that do not consistently enforce Allow playing any track.
  • Standard completion can be reached by playing only the final listed track in each album. Experimental all-track completion changes the client report but leaves the World’s album-marker condition intact.
  • Keep the generated APWorld and its matching JSON together. Exact tracks and names cannot be reconstructed without that selection. The Windows executables were not rebuilt or run, and the generated template documentation still contains placeholders.
