How the game changes

  • Start in the powered Four Seasons Pavilion and rebuild Yi's abilities through a multiworld. Seals, movement upgrades, boss rewards, chests, artifacts and NPC rewards shape the route.
  • Version 0.6.4 unlocks the starting Pavilion teleport node during new-game setup, addressing the Teleport menu issue that previously required sitting at that node.
  • Progressive arrows now select one active tier and disable obsolete tiers. Optional shop and skill-tree randomisation add purchases, progressive arrows, skills and shop unlocks.
  • Choose vanilla, medium or ledge-storage logic. This release revises Abandoned Mines routes, restores a Tai-Chi Kick requirement before Yin Jifu's Tomb and updates several advanced movement alternatives.
  • Purchase and skill logic now considers access across nine map regions before opening low-, medium- and high-cost groups. Jade costs, starting movement and selected root nodes remain configurable.
  • Defeat Eigong after collecting the configured Sol Seals. Universal Tracker map pages and in-game messages support routing; 0.6.4 raises the simultaneous on-screen message limit to ten. DeathLink remains optional.

Before you start

  • Use the matching 0.6.4 APWorld, mod ZIP and Nine.Sols.yaml. Archipelago 0.6.4 or newer and the current Nine Sols patch are documented; the speedrun branch is unsupported. Windows setup is the reviewed platform scope.
  • Install through r2modman with the declared dependencies and use Start modded. TeleportFromAnywhere is required to escape randomised dead ends. The manifest and build project list different NineSolsAPI version requirements, so a complete runtime dependency match was not established here.
  • Choose an empty save slot for a new multiworld. Preserve both the native game save and its AP JSON sidecar. Room changes show a warning; bypassing it or changing slots can mix progress, and sidecar writes are not atomic with the game save.
  • After a connection loss, quit and resume the same AP save as the mod advises. Saved checks are resent and inventory is compared with server history. This is restart-based recovery; final victory status has no durable resend queue.
  • The room password is stored in the AP sidecar, displayed in a normal text field and included in connection logs/toasts. Keep these files and captures private and avoid reusing sensitive credentials. Encrypted transport is not guaranteed by the host/port interface.
  • Advanced logic requires the documented movement techniques. Shop and skill checks can require currency or XP farming. Entrance remapping in 0.6.4 is an opt-in debug prototype, not a supported generated randomisation mode.
  • Source and package review does not establish exactly-once item effects after interrupted saves or multiple deferred item updates. Keep backups when changing releases, and check progression after a recovery.
  • The DLL identifies the reviewed commit and shared data match the World. The release archives lack complete licence/third-party notices, and separate permissions for tracker map artwork were not established. These are documentation gaps, not a finding of unauthorised use.
