How the game changes

  • Build a Quick Play campaign from 55 available board definitions and 10 Masters. Choose 15–55 boards; defaults select twenty boards and three Masters, with three boards and one Master available immediately.
  • Progressive Orange Pegs are specific to each board and replace the old global Fever Meter upgrades. Four upgrades take a board toward its full orange-peg layout; extra copies are present in the pool.
  • Board unlocks and Master unlocks are enforced in game. Purple Peg unlocks are board-specific, while Progressive Green Pegs belong to individual Masters, changing which character is useful at a given time.
  • Fever thresholds, Fever Meter Full, level clears, score targets, style shots and peg combinations can send checks. A Level Clear follows a completed fever sequence; it no longer waits for the old global Fever Meter upgrade set.
  • Choose a Gold Peg hunt or collect enough Gold Pegs to unlock and clear a final board. Defaults place forty goal pegs and require thirty, with totals adjusted to the selected campaign size.
  • Start with five balls and increase the supply through received items, up to the configured maximum of eight to twenty. Target scores can range from 50% to 150% of the base targets, globally or randomly per board.
  • Useful filler can grant board-specific score multipliers, target-score discounts and optional full-clear discounts. Full Clears are disabled by default and can be much harder with some Master combinations.
  • The dedicated client displays boards, Masters, scores and requirements. Optional Universal Tracker integration adds in-logic and out-of-logic check information.
  • Version 2.2.1 corrects full-fever checks with extra Orange Peg items, removes ordinary checks from the final goal board and enforces the fifteen-board minimum even with exclusions.
Explore game mechanics

Before you start

  • Install the Peggle Deluxe 2.2.1 APWorld in Archipelago 0.6.7 or later, then use its dedicated client with the English Steam edition on Windows. The client requires the AP environment's Pymem dependency; no separate game-folder mod is needed.
  • Use Quick Play and keep the dedicated client connected. Native Linux, macOS and Proton are outside the supported memory-access setup documented for this release.
  • Close and restart the game after closing the client, before attaching a new client. Memory hooks remain installed in the old game process. Back up valued profiles before using the integration.
  • Treat the move from 1.x as a new-room upgrade and generate a fresh template. Old global Fever Meter items and earlier room data do not describe the current per-board progression.
  • Automatic reconnect can reset per-board useful-bonus bookkeeping while retaining already-seen item indices. Full reconstruction after a network or process interruption is not established; do not rely on offline play to preserve new checks.
  • The documented executable hashes identify the expected English build, but automatic discovery only checks a short game signature. Use the documented version and do not treat process discovery as a complete compatibility test.
  • For the final-board goal, the live client requires a clear after collecting the goal pegs. The World completion model only checks access to Endgame, so a generated playthrough reaching completion is not proof that the final board was cleared.
  • Full Clears are optional and can be demanding. The enforced board-selection minimum is fifteen despite a stale five-board statement in an option description. No DeathLink is included.
  • The APWorld includes board thumbnails and game artwork whose complete redistribution basis was not established in this review. This is an evidence limitation, not an allegation against the maintainer.
  • The distributed Python APWorld was inspected directly. Its release-tag repository snapshot lacks the Peggle source folder, so an exact matching source revision was not established.
