Playing with others

The author explicitly supports short or long synchronous and asynchronous multiworlds. Each person plays their own Peggle campaign; this does not add native cooperative board control. Keep the client connected while playing for checks and item delivery.

Known scope and limitations

  • Install the Peggle Deluxe 2.2.1 APWorld in Archipelago 0.6.7 or later, then use its dedicated client with the English Steam edition on Windows. The client requires the AP environment's Pymem dependency; no separate game-folder mod is needed.
  • Use Quick Play and keep the dedicated client connected. Native Linux, macOS and Proton are outside the supported memory-access setup documented for this release.
  • Close and restart the game after closing the client, before attaching a new client. Memory hooks remain installed in the old game process. Back up valued profiles before using the integration.
  • Treat the move from 1.x as a new-room upgrade and generate a fresh template. Old global Fever Meter items and earlier room data do not describe the current per-board progression.
  • Automatic reconnect can reset per-board useful-bonus bookkeeping while retaining already-seen item indices. Full reconstruction after a network or process interruption is not established; do not rely on offline play to preserve new checks.
  • The documented executable hashes identify the expected English build, but automatic discovery only checks a short game signature. Use the documented version and do not treat process discovery as a complete compatibility test.
  • For the final-board goal, the live client requires a clear after collecting the goal pegs. The World completion model only checks access to Endgame, so a generated playthrough reaching completion is not proof that the final board was cleared.
  • Full Clears are optional and can be demanding. The enforced board-selection minimum is fifteen despite a stale five-board statement in an option description. No DeathLink is included.
  • The APWorld includes board thumbnails and game artwork whose complete redistribution basis was not established in this review. This is an evidence limitation, not an allegation against the maintainer.
  • The distributed Python APWorld was inspected directly. Its release-tag repository snapshot lacks the Peggle source folder, so an exact matching source revision was not established.
