The v1.0.0 APWorld defines 650 addressable checks; 365 are enabled by default: 345 area checks plus 20 rank milestones, one every five ranks. The other 285 candidates are optional: Deep Arrowheads (49), Mental Cobwebs (54), extra per-rank checks (80), figment thresholds (50), progressive baggage (50) and Scavenger Hunt reward checks (2). Three internal event locations are not counted. The APWorld matches 25 of 26 files in its pinned source archive. Static source review only; no generated seed or gameplay session was tested.

Playing with others
One solo Psychonauts save per slot exchanges items live or across separate sessions. Seed files and client state keep different Archipelago runs separate; native co-op is not added.
Known scope and limitations
- Install both APWorld 1.0.0 and the AP-compatible PsychoRando 2.1.0 mod, plus Astralathe. The ordinary standalone randomizer is not a substitute.
- Each room generates a RandoSeed.lua that must be copied into the mod's Scripts folder. Start a fresh save for that seed and connect the dedicated Psychonauts Client.
- The client needs the correct game root_directory; Windows backslashes must be escaped when entered in the documented YAML setting.
- Linux/Steam Deck uses the Windows game under Proton. Astralathe explicitly does not support Psychonauts' native Linux port.
- The guide warns of crashes when switching windows during loading/cutscenes and when entering Gloria's Theater. Pause before switching away and manually save before entering that mind.
- The guide recommends disabling Astralathe's Use Steam setting to avoid premature achievements and cloud-save conflicts. Avoid unverified extra mods, especially chaos effects that can break logic; replace the old mod folder cleanly when updating.
