How the game changes

  • Turn shop purchases and extraction of valuables, Pelly statues and monster souls into checks. The World defines 296 possible checks; the default 80 shop slots give 276 checks with Pelly collection enabled.
  • Other worlds unlock four level types, equipment availability, progressive shop stock and character upgrades. Received upgrades and health packs use the game inventory and truck systems.
  • Combine a level quota with Pelly collection, and optionally require every valuable or monster soul. Defaults request eight completed levels and twelve Pelly statues.
  • Choose a combat logic setting and how many shop purchases may hold progression. Level selection favors unlocked areas with undiscovered valuables, with additional bad-luck controls for extraction targets.
  • Version 0.4.4 revises monster-soul logic and correctly excludes shop checks above the configured progression limit. New audit settings choose the percentage of money lost, with a 33% default.
  • The release reduces the default moon-phase trap weight and adds a cosmetic-crate toggle. Lure, monster, audit and persistent moon-phase traps remain configurable; DeathLink is optional.
  • The truck display reports goals and collection progress. The current release improves its completed-goal display and provides diagnostic commands through REPOLib.
  • Native co-op uses one host connection for the crew. Version 0.4.4 disconnects that AP session when joining another lobby and improves the fallback when AP shop items cannot be created.

Before you start

  • Use the 0.4.4 client and APWorld from the same release. The maintainer also states that this client accepts worlds from 0.4.1 onward; existing seeds keep their original generated settings.
  • Create a separate mod profile. The package declares BepInEx 5.4.2305, MenuLib 2.5.4 and REPOLib 4.2.0. The client README provides the relevant installation route; the APWorld documents still contain an unrelated game guide and placeholders.
  • Connect the host before creating or loading a game. Keep backups of both native saves and AP data: they are stored separately, and loading a native save from a different multiworld is not rejected by a seed-binding check.
  • Automatic reconnect exists, but locally recorded checks are not reliably replayed after an interrupted send. Item receipt counters and native save effects are also separate; this review cannot establish lossless recovery after an interrupted save or connection.
  • The World and client do not express every goal prerequisite identically. In particular, the World always requires all four level unlocks, even when optional hunts are off. Some heaviest-valuable strength rules also do not match their grouping labels.
  • The room password is saved in the mod configuration. Treat that file as private. The merged transport can fall back to unencrypted WebSockets unless a secure endpoint is explicitly selected.
  • The inspected bundle includes models, textures and audio without a complete origin and redistribution record. The tagged client source also omits the Unity authoring project and World sources, so complete package provenance remains unestablished.
  • Future game updates and Linux compatibility are not established by this package. Persistent moon-phase traps can raise difficulty for the whole multiworld; set their weight to zero if that is not wanted. No independent game session was run for this review.
