How the game changes
- Checks: Two rewards for each selected song or optional variant, with configurable grade/full-combo requirements for rhythm rifts.
- Items: Song unlocks, diamonds towards the finale and duplicate song rewards; the reviewed mod does not apply the listed food/Vibe Charge fillers.
- Goals: Collect the configured diamond threshold to unlock a selected final song, then clear it for the client's goal signal.
- Options: Starter/additional songs, installed DLC including Omega Strikers, remix/minigame/boss variants, intensity filtering, score/combo settings, inclusion/exclusion and experimental custom-song metadata.
Before you start
- The reviewed release is v0.16.0; its rotn.apworld declares World 0.15.0 and requires Archipelago 0.6.3 or newer. Its unchanged mod declares 0.13.0 and bundles BepInEx 5.4.23.2. Use these exact paired downloads rather than expecting every component to carry the release number.
- Extract the mod archive into your owned Steam PC installation and install the APWorld for generation. The title-screen panel takes the AP host, slot and optional password. The maintainer documents a winhttp override for Proton; this review did not run Windows or Proton. Enable only DLC/custom songs you have installed and can use.
- Omega Strikers is present in the distributed song table. Songs give two rewards, and diamonds unlock the chosen finale; the client then expects its clear. The World completion predicate counts only diamonds, so tracker/logic completion is not the same signal as the client's final-song completion.
- The actual mod does not apply the healing-food/Vibe Charge fillers described by the World. Duplicate-song percentages below 100 are not applied proportionally, and guaranteed inclusion can miss a listed song. Use the documented defaults first and verify the generated song list.
- Custom-song export remains experimental: subsequent local-song IDs can collide, and the distributed importer lacks the error handling seen in the identified source branch. Start with base-game songs; do not assume branch-only changes are part of the release archive.
- Reliable save/seed isolation, reconnect recovery and interrupted item/check/victory delivery are not established. Base unlock lists survive manual disconnect, and switching Free Play back off mutates those lists while iterating. Restart the game when switching rooms and avoid Free Play toggles during an AP run, particularly with minigames/bosses.
- No game charts/audio/DLC assets were identified in the package. Complete licence notices, game-version compatibility and reconstruction of all distributed loader/native components remain unestablished. Prefer an explicit wss:// AP address when using a TLS-enabled server.
