How the game changes
- Choose which exploration, ranching and collection activities send checks: treasure pods, Gordos, maps, crafting, research drones, conversations, plort sales, gates, expansions and the Polestar shop. The tables contain 716 possible checks; the active total depends on your settings.
- Other worlds can unlock regional access, progressive Vacpack upgrades, crafting components, ranch plans, shop catalog waves and useful gadgets. Version 0.15.0 adds the Portable Fabricator and Refinery Link to the pool.
- Play toward opening the Grey Labyrinth, completing the Prismacore encounter, a Prisma Shard hunt, a Newbucks target, selected Slimepedia collections or a plort-selling objective. The HUD and pause menu show goal progress.
- For game update 1.3, Vac palettes can become received cosmetic items or Polestar shop checks. Shop palette access follows its regional conditions, and palettes sold as checks are excluded from the received-item pool.
- Adjust the Newbucks multiplier, shop size, randomized categories and optional spawn/weather settings to shape the route. Newbucks received as AP filler are excluded from the new multiplier.
- Current logic adds the Jetpack requirement for Moondew Nectar, removes it from Boom, Honey and Hunter Gordos, ties Conservatory pods to their expansions and excludes Labyrinth Craft Caches when that area is outside the chosen goal.
- The client stores checks for retransmission on connection and records both Labyrinth gate progress and completed goals. The current release resends an already recorded victory after reconnecting.
- Optional traps and DeathLink include loading delays and cooldowns. Version 0.15.0 restores prior weather before replacing a Tarr Rain effect and reduces interruptions from repeated item/save updates.
Before you start
- Use the 0.15.0 client and APWorld together for Slime Rancher 2 game update 1.3. The guide specifies BepInEx 6 IL2CPP x64 build be.755; it warns that some newer loader builds fail before the plugin loads.
- Connect from Settings → Archipelago before creating a new save. Keep a separate save and mod profile. The setup guide does not provide the complete custom-World installation and seed-generation workflow; arrange a compatible generated multiworld first.
- The README describes a Windows installation and a Linux/Proton launch option. Its additional macOS download link does not establish a compatible game setup, and no operating-system play session was performed for this review.
- The room password is saved in plugin configuration and save-slot binding files. Treat these files as private. The supplied transport may fall back to plain WebSockets when no secure scheme is specified.
- Offline-check and completed-goal retransmission are implemented, but full recovery is not established. The first-connection order can leave saved slot options empty, failed item grants are not always retained, and AP records and native saves are written separately. Back up both before updating.
- Wrong-seed and native-save guards are present, but a same-seed connection is not fully checked against the bound player slot, and incompatible client/World versions are not automatically refused.
- The source archive contains generated game/Unity reference assemblies that are absent from the playable ZIP. The supplied archives lack a complete licence and redistribution record; the separately maintained World source revision is also unidentified. This does not establish that redistribution is unauthorized.
