COMMUNITY INTEGRATION
Terra NilArchipelago randomizer mod
Restore ecosystems while other worlds unlock the buildings you need. This community mod turns environmental milestones into checks and lets your room choose how many of seven supported restoration levels to complete.

How the game changes
- Building items unlock the corresponding construction in a particular level. Access to additional levels is also part of the item pool, rather than simply following the original campaign order.
- Restoration checks include initial power, clean soil and greenery, restoration percentage milestones, biome establishment, recycling and photography. Available categories vary by level; climate-goal checks are enabled by default.
- Choose from River Valley, Hill and Dale, Polluted Bay, Abandoned Quarry, Desolate Island, Scorched Caldera and Volcanic Glacier. These seven levels are the supported pool, not every level in the base game.
- Set a goal of one to seven completed levels and an included-level count at least as large. Weight or exclude individual levels, choose a starting level or randomize it within a supported region. The defaults include all seven and start in River Valley.
- Choose Monk, Gardener, Ecologist or Environmental Engineer difficulty in the YAML. Ecologist is the default. Optional rain logic allows the generator to require rainfall as a water source instead of pumps.
- F1 toggles the in-game Archipelago console. F2 and Shift+F2 provide the release's weather controls after the relevant climate goal. Currency bundles are filler; this integration does not expose a DeathLink option.
Before you start
- Install TerraNil.apworld from the same release with Archipelago 0.6.7 or newer. Install BepInEx for the game's platform, then extract TerraNilAP.zip into BepInEx/plugins. The plugin archive contains the mod and its Archipelago client dependency, not the loader.
- The maintainer documents Windows, Linux and macOS: Windows starts normally, while Linux and macOS use run_bepinex.sh. This is documented support, not independent Panludia runtime testing. GOG and Epic editions are explicitly untested by the maintainer; this listing covers Steam.
- Select the Archipelago entry in the profile selector, enter host, port, slot and any room password, connect, then select New Restoration for a new run. The mod selects an AP profile after successful login using the room seed, team and slot. Back up existing saves before adding any game mod.
- The release documents a known console problem: after many checks, text can stop rendering and the game can lag. Restarting the game clears the console as a workaround. Early item waits can still occur; the release reduces them but does not promise uninterrupted progression.
- Keep connected while playing. The mod attempts reconnection, but disconnected item and location helpers return empty data rather than providing full offline support. Currency rewards are applied immediately and are not protected by a persistent received-item watermark in the reviewed handler; do not rely on exact currency recovery across disconnects.
- This is a source and documentation review, not a complete campaign playtest or security guarantee. Use the matching world and mod, a trusted room and a backed-up save; the seven-level limit and release-specific caveats still apply.
