How the game changes
- Checks: 399 checks across missions, bonus missions, races, wasps, cards, gags, shops and vehicle-seller conversations.
- Items: Level and character abilities, vehicles, outfits, wallet upgrades, consumable filler resources and five trap types.
- Goals: Selected story missions, the final mission or a car count, plus configured wasp/card and optional bonus/race requirements.
- Options: Shuffled cards/traffic, character capabilities, mission locks and timers, shop costs, early items and individual trap types.
- Versions: Beta APWorld 0.5.5 is paired with native frontend Beta 0.5.4; use the September 21 files together.
Before you start
- Use the paired September 21 releases: APWorld v0.5.5-b (manifest 0.5.5) and SHARRandomizer/SHARAP.lmlm v0.5.4-b (frontend Beta 0.5.4). The native DLLs identify the reviewed 0.5.4 source commit. This is a Windows PC integration using Lucas’ Mod Launcher, .NET 10 x86 and Archipelago 0.6.0 or newer; source mod metadata requires launcher 1.27. Other major gameplay mods are unsupported, and documented logic assumes 60–150 FPS.
- Choose selected story missions, the final mission or a car target, with wasp/card requirements. Defaults require 70 wasps and 25 cards. New bonus/race requirements are checked by the client, but the World does not consistently include them: races are in separate regions and extra requirements are absent from some goal branches. The final-mission branch models access to its region rather than all of that mission’s prerequisites.
- There are 399 created checks, including 49 cards selected from candidate positions. Some card rules reference names missing from the item table, use a string where a collection is expected, or return a callback instead of a boolean condition. This can misrepresent accessibility; Panludia has not verified a generated seed or completed game.
- The baseline starts with one level, a car, one jump tier and a wallet tier; forward movement is available by default. Each enabled trap type adds ten traps independently of the filler-trap percentage. Setting Filler Traps to zero therefore does not remove the initial traps: disable the individual trap types as well if you want none. Some trap waits have no bounded recovery path.
- The reviewed mod configuration disables ordinary saved games and reconstructs progress from the room’s confirmed checks and stored resources. Keep that room/slot state available. A patch/slot identity mismatch warns but does not stop initialization, and offline checks or victory are not retained in a durable retry queue. Item receipt is recorded before game application succeeds; failed delivery and repeated rewards lack complete safeguards.
- The frontend saves the room password in settings.json. Keep the frontend folder and logs private, and use an explicit wss:// address for secure remote transport because bare hostnames can fall back to an unencrypted connection. Open only the patch generated for your intended room and slot; the reviewed patch extractor lacks complete path-confinement safeguards.
- Source licences and contributor credits were found, but complete distribution notices and asset-specific permissions were not established. The compiled LMLM was acquired and hashed without independently unpacking all of its contents. This records a verification limit rather than an allegation about its author; no downloaded archive is hosted by Panludia.
