Setup & releases

Choose the documented game and integration versions and follow the original installation instructions.

Compatibility notes

  • The maintainer asks players to finish the unmodified game first. Back up the existing save before installing; the mod uses the game save and does not establish an isolated save per Archipelago room.
  • This listing covers the Windows Steam edition. Install MelonLoader for The WereCleaner, launch once to initialize it, then copy the SW_CreeperKing.Werepelago folder from the linked v0.1.2 release into the game Mods folder. The README download link points to a different project; use this release link instead. Its loader version is written ambiguously as 7.1, and an exact compatible loader/game matrix is not verified here.
  • Install the released the_werecleaner.apworld on the generator, use the supplied The.WereCleaner.yaml template and generate the room. In the main-menu overlay, enter host:port, the exact slot name and optional room password before playing.
  • The supplied YAML requires The WereCleaner 0.1.0, while the v0.1.2 APWorld manifest declares 0.1.2. Compatibility of this template/version pairing was not independently reproduced.
  • The room password is displayed as ordinary text and saved in ApConnection.json. The connection library can fall back from encrypted to unencrypted WebSockets; the overlay does not accept an explicit wss:// address.
  • Stay connected while collecting unique items and completing nights. Check submission results are not handled by the game hooks, and no durable offline-check recovery is established by this review. Manual reconnection is available.
  • Restart the game when changing rooms. The bundled helper caches completion state without resetting that flag during a new login; remote completed-night writes also lack a demonstrated merge strategy for simultaneous clients.
  • The World creates seven surplus filler objects because locked completion events enter its pool count. Archipelago 0.6.5 reports excess unplaced filler as a warning; this finding alone does not establish generation failure.
  • Own source, packaged World code and selected actual DLL methods were inspected. The mod was not independently played or rebuilt; its own redistribution license and complete merged dependency provenance remain incompletely documented. Downloads remain with the maintainer.

This integration is maintained independently of Panludia. Downloads are provided by its maintainer. Contact the maintainer through the linked repository or support channels.
