COMMUNITY INTEGRATION

TyrianArchipelago randomizer mod

Fly unlocked levels with received front/rear weapons, sidekicks and ship upgrades. Enemy drops, pickups, secret triggers and seeded shop purchases send rewards. Episodes marked Goal must all be completed; optional Data Cube Hunt changes access to their finales, while additional On episodes only expand the playable checks.

How the game changes

  • 730 possible checks across 65 levels: 405 in-level drops/triggers and up to 325 purchases. Standard settings have 349 checks, with shop positions assigned by seed.
  • 202 generated/start item types include level keys, four weapon families, generator tiers, repeated stat upgrades, bonus games, Data Cubes and dynamic money rewards. Deprecated Protron Field is not generated.
  • Episodes marked Goal form a combined victory requirement. Episodes 1–3 are required by default; On episodes provide levels without adding another finale requirement.
  • Five generator tiers and separate power/armor/shield counters. Cube Hunt opens required finales at its threshold while preserving their episode-ending victory requirements.

Before you start

  • Reviewed World and client release v1.0.5; the APWorld manifest requires Archipelago 0.6.3. World source matches a separate pinned TyrianAPWorld revision; native source is pinned to the client release tag.
  • Episode 5 and nine additional weapon/sidekick types require Tyrian 2000 support and suitable game data. Without support, the World resets Episode 5 to Off.
  • Excluded secret checks remain present but contain non-progression filler. Seven are excluded in the inspected Standard construction; Beginner excludes additional entries, while Master does not apply those default exclusions.
  • Shops Only locks in-level pickups to local Credits and places shuffled rewards in shops. Solo construction requires Master or No Logic; the default Standard combination is refused.
  • Shop allocation, prices and money reward denominations vary by seed. The standard sample has 100 shops among 40 levels; eight sampled seeds kept the same total with different positions and credit rolls.
  • Twenty-six static constructions matched pools and remaining reward slots; two invalid settings were refused. No complete Archipelago fill, native rebuild or independent playthrough was performed.
