COMMUNITY INTEGRATION
Void StrangerArchipelago randomizer mod
Revisit the labyrinth with key abilities, brands and shortcuts arriving from other worlds. This integration is intended for players who have already uncovered the original game's secrets, not a first playthrough.

How the game changes
- Burdens, the Endless Void Rod, interface access, seals and Void Lord brands enter the item pool. Brandsanity is now always enabled. Brands gate progression and secret rooms; item names remain deliberately vague to limit spoilers for other players.
- The default World has 91 checks, including five shortcut conversations. Shortcutsanity remains enabled by default. Optional Idolsanity locks three statue types behind items but no longer adds statue-conversation checks.
- Optional Dead End adds a mural and nine chests; White Void adds five chests; Beehole adds four chests and moves the Lord of Sloth check to its dungeon. Greed Zone adds fifteen checks and configurable entry coins.
- DIS remains the only supported ending on the Gray route. The new Short DIS option selects a twelve-room route. White Void can be disabled, shortened to twelve rooms or played at full length.
- Logic Complexity is implemented: Full includes Smiler warps and interface manipulation; Simple leaves most of those optional routes out of logic. The floor graph tracks locust capacity, stairs, brands and shortcuts.
- The F10 menu is documented with connection settings, item tracking, Mon Bank, waypoints and debugging. Received items wait until the ordinary Void Rod is carried. The Seal of Greed is present as a placeholder and currently has no effect.
- The 0.11.3 World corrects the Beehole reward access condition. Earlier 0.11.x notes describe fixes for Idolsanity generation and Short DIS persistence; the latter is a game-patch claim, not an independently verified recovery test.
Before you start
- Use Steam's old_version_1.1.1 beta branch. Back up data.win and your saves before patching. Use the patch, gm-apclientpp.dll, ap_room_names.csv and APWorld from the same release; start a separate run for the room.
- Install voidstranger.apworld in custom_worlds. Apply either the BDF or Xdelta patch to a clean original data.win, keep the patched result named data.win, and put the DLL and room-name CSV beside it. Connect through the in-game F10 menu.
- This listing covers Windows. The guide also gives Linux patch commands, but its BDF example names a file that differs from the released asset. Neither those commands nor the Windows DLL establish a verified Linux launch route.
- Keep the default starting inventory empty unless your generator has a confirmed fix: the inspected World removes selected precollected items without replacing them in the pool. With one base item precollected, static counts fall from 91 pool items to 90 while 91 default checks remain.
- Dead End entry guidance differs between sources: the readable World links it from B225, while the changelog says B255. The binary game patch was not reconstructed in this review, so that in-game entrance cannot be independently confirmed here.
- You must carry the ordinary Void Rod to receive items. Awaiting VR Connection is a documented game condition, not necessarily a server outage. Offline-check recovery is described by the maintainer, but its queue and receipt implementation are not available as readable game source.
- Do not use End Run midway through an AP campaign: the guide says it loses items. Atone is the separate return-to-start action. Back up before changing patches, saves or rooms; automatic seed-to-save protection was not established.
- The maintainer still documents wasted locusts when a capacity upgrade arrives at the cap and routes that may require repetitive collection. The World always includes 33 capacity upgrades of three; the previous capacity-size option is removed.
- White Void save protection, dungeon ejection, connection timeouts and Short DIS restart fixes are reported in the changelog. Their game-side implementation is distributed as binary patches, so they are not independently verified by this source review.
- The fourteen released World files match the identified source revision. The game patches and native DLL are not accompanied by their complete readable build sources, and the World manifest supplies no numeric world_version or minimum AP version. No full-game audit or independent playthrough is claimed.
