How the game changes
- Gears are shuffled by default. Optional safes, chests, coin bags, individual coins, checkpoints, cheeses, hats and golden bunnies expand the checks in different ways.
- Flip O' Will can become two Progressive Boosts and two Progressive Jumps shared globally, or separate movement unlocks for each level. Spin Attack, Golden Spring and Propeller can be received independently.
- Choose defeating Bomboss, defeating Alien Mosk in Tosla Offices, or helping Maurizio. The goal portal requires a configurable proportion of gear items, with 60% as the default.
- Shuffle portal order, Granny's Island levels and selected special entrances, optionally keeping them in separate groups. Universal Tracker reveals shuffled destinations after visiting them rather than spoiling the map immediately.
- Time Trial access can remain open or use one shared remote, separate remotes or progressive remotes. Other optional items lock the lab, wardrobe, shops or specific level entrances.
- DeathLink has configurable amnesty. RingLink shares coin gains and losses; TrapLink shares compatible traps, with an optional whitelist. Traps themselves default to disabled.
- Quick Pickups shorten collection animations, shop hints identify progression rewards, and an easier Alien Mosk setting changes spring availability. Cosmetic taxi skins are separate from progression.
- Unchecked randomized pickups stay colored; checked or unshuffled pickups appear in greyscale. Item notifications identify received rewards, which apply immediately where appropriate.
Before you start
- Use client 0.7.0 with a 0.7.x APWorld and Archipelago 0.6.7 or later. Earlier client generations do not support the new level and per-level movement settings.
- Download the game-mod ZIP rather than the source archive and extract it into the game directory. The title-screen connection starts the AP save directly, bypassing normal file selection; back up existing saves before modding.
- Linux and Steam Deck use the Windows game through Proton with the documented winhttp override. Steam Big Picture provides the controller-accessible connection keyboard; this is not a native Linux port.
- The Full Game Unlock item simulates a restricted opening inside an owned full copy. The real free demo is not supported and receiving that item does not purchase or unlock a Steam licence.
- For a conservative first run, keep expert logic at zero, out-of-bounds logic off and portal order vanilla. Early Move can ensure a boost or jump is available from the opening checks.
- Per-level moves consume more of the item pool and can reduce filler or gear counts. Large coin-check settings can create many filler-only checks; host limits can further cap their progression density.
- Psycho Taxi itself has no checks in the documented options, even when its access is shuffled. Do not read optional entrance support as a promise that every area has randomized objectives.
- The purchase-rebate counter resets when the game closes. Recent save and portal changes are documented, but independent full-run or fully offline synchronization evidence is not established.
